I liked the Beast Machines only for one reason it was a more darker tone to then the beast wars, because in war if you win a battle thier always going to be cost like casualties or terrortories with both maximals and vecichons both substain . I think tankor not being reformatted back to rhinox was a big mistake he would of been one bad ass maximal in Beast Machines, come on now in the beast wars he looked cool as **** he had the machine guns that would of been some great fire power.i think they should of still went with third series
I watched both series when I was younger. But I have to admit that the ending of Beast Machines really stunned me! For crying out loud, how could they just kill off Optimus Primal like that? And don't get me started on Rhinox! I think that Rhinox's character was given the easy way out-- if I wrote the show, I would have, at the very least would've had him get his ass kicked around a couple of times before allowing him to die! In short, both instances were TOTAL FREAKIN' RIP-OFFS!
i watched BW and BM while i grew up. It was my favorite show and i couln't help but watch it every saturday morning. I know people criticize it for not following the older versions, but sorry to say, those people are old, and so is their show versions of Transformers. dissing a show that was an importance of mine and many others childhood just gets me pissed off, even though i think the version i watched as a kid was the best their was.
I love Transformers but this was a total failure. I gave it an honest try after my friend convinced me to watch this and Beast Wars. I got bored watching the "heroes" running like cowards every damn episode. No more courageous autobot warrior in any of them. I gave it an honest chance and this thing just failed from the get go. Rhinox was about the only cool maximal and he was just given the axe and was never given a chance to shine as the lone cool character in this series. The only real Transformers remain in the original Season 1. Accept no imposters or sequels.
when they came to cybertron the were always running which pissed me off. Also fighting infinite amounts of drones seemed really lame. In beast wars it was a competition, every new transformer shifted the balance. How are you going to get rid of rhinox cmon.
being in a generic city the whole time sucked too.
I voted for Day One. I mean, they changed everyone from warriors to pathetic losers. Especialy Blackarachnia and Rattrap. Plus, trying to turn cybertron organic was a HUGE turn off for me. Also that stupid Nightscream...ugh.

Damn you Bob Skir for ruining Transformers!
Beastmachines ruined Beast Wars for several reasons 1 they changed all of the characthers personalities and 2 their transformations too and its not the writters fault it was the fault of all the useless parents out there that dont watch their kids and let the TV raise them and so they believe that watching violence makes you violent and so because they didnt like how violent Beast Wars title and action was and so they made the network change it all and then that change is what killed the show as we know it
Holy ****! Rhinox, the toughest, smartest, second-in-command bad ass? He died in the first episode? I thought it was such crap. And he turned into Tankorr or whatever and didn't come back, what bullshit!
Although I've been a die-hard Beast Wars fanatic since I was about 8 or 9 years old, I was very disappointed by the return of Silverbolt in Beast Machines. They took my favourite character--and in my opinion, THE sexiest robot on television--and turned him into an ugly, pointy-chinned, bitter SOB. I was also disappointed by his new beast mode--a condor. Come on, everyone knows that condors are just about the ugliest birds on the planet. His wolf/eagle beast mode from Beast Wars gave him a majestic, noble look. And what happened to the hopeless-romantic-sappy-dark-poison-of-my-heart Silverbolt we all knew and loved in season 2 of BW?! Sure, he did kinda get annoying, but he was sweet. I could sympathize with Blackarachnia in BM. There were times I wanted to wring his birdy neck for being so bitter and mean to her. I mean, HELLO?! She had been fighting since their return to Cybertron to revive him, and then he just snubbed her like that. What a prick. I'm glad he finally lightened up in the last few episodes, but chee...one pleasant thing that did come out of Beast Machines, however was that Rattrap found himself a love interest. I was pleased with him and Botanica being put together. What a cute couple.
This show was so awful. They should have just let it die with the end of Beast Wars. Why the writers felt the need to tear apart all the characterization they spent three seasons developing, I couldn't tell you. I mean, Cheetor, formerly the loose cannon teenager, is now the smart one with the leadership skills? And Optimus is bordering on the psychotic? Rattrap is suddenly a wuss after being the sarcastic and wise-cracking cast member? And what's up with all the organic transformations? Transformers was always about ROBOTS. A bad way to call attention to your show is to do something that will piss-off the long-term fans, but that's what they did. And for the "Breast Machines" guy, you really oughta see what's out in the world beyond your hormones.
I loved Transformers as a kid. When I saw the Beast Wars toys, I thought they looked lame. Then, I watched the show. I fell in love with Beast Wars. What is this dreck as a follow-up? The animation is good, but all of the characters are just freaky looking. The plot is confusing. The personalities are VERY different from Beast Wars. Rattrap is whiny; Black Arachnia isn't the dark wannabe bad guy; Megatron is sane and centered; and Optimus Primal is walking the edge? Beast Wars ended well. Too bad they didn't continue the story from there. Oh, well.
This is a great cartoon. Granted, it took a while for it to sink in and affect me, but come on! It's beautiful to watch, the writing is great - we had no idea what happened on Cybertron! Talk about suspense. Great writing, great animation. This show has yet to jump. End of story.
1. We're supposed to believe that Megatron managed to lock up the sparks of EVERY SINGLE TRANSFORMER on the PLANET! Including Optimus Prime and EVERY SINGLE TRANSFORMER that survived the Great War and their decendants despute the fact that the Beast Wars characters are about the size of one of Soundwave's cassettes? (Ravage) 2 Since when was Cybertron technoroganic? 3. What happened to the personalities of all of the Beast Wars Characters 4. THe Oracle??????????????????????????????? 5. THe ending Face it. the show sucked. Hasbro should have just translated the Japanese episodes.
Didn't jump. I anticipate each episode. I am a Transformers freak!
Beast Machines featurs the best animation currently on television. The 3D models are beautiful, the style is distinct and attractive, every frame with its dramatic choice of camera angles, lighting, and composition is a work of art. It's so nice to watch a series where the animators really care about what they're producing. The writing is for the most part mature, dramatic and suspenceful and the tie-ins to the original Transformers series makes it all the more fascinating. This show is one of the best things to come out of Canada since The Kids in the Hall.
