Also, I thought the set for Draven's apartment was cool, but who would live in a apartment with a broken window all the time?
Also, Draven's trial was also a weak point. I thought he was invincible.

O.K., so there's cult shows, and there's shows that have only 12 or so postings on jump the shark.
I remember seeing this show once or twice when it was in syndication (and remember when its in syndication, you can't expect much). Name one show that was syndicated, that is good (maybe Deep Space Nine, maybe).
First of all, it was obvious that they didn't have enough storylines to stretch this more than one season (let alone 22 episodes).
Given that, There were three episodes that I did like. I thought "It's a Wonderful Death" was a great concept. Who wouldn't want a chance to go back and change one day in your life.
I liked "Birds of a Feather" and "Give Me Death".
"Before I Wake" was terrible, terrible, terrible. Further indication that they couldn't stretch this more than a year. I also have to agree the first two episodes were disappointing.
I did like the cop character and his partner/love interest.
Also, Shelley's cliffhanger at the end did seem interesting.
I suppose its best, canceled series are easier to get through on D.V.D. (or fancast.com).

This show never had a chance to jump the shark. It didn't manage to last long enough. I am a fanatic Crow fan, and I have to admit that the first two episodes were the worst things ever, but necessary- else there would have been a series. At least it was better than City of Angels.
Why was this series made? Were three movies not enough to get James O Barr's original story across? We got the point. The guy that played Eric Draven was a complete and total rip-off of Brandon Lee's portrayal of the character - all the way down to the sarcastic witty comment before every single 'I'm about to hit you' moment. It's like the producers watched the original first 7 times a day and memorized every little minor detail about the whole thing and decided to make a tv show based on the movie itself - not the story or graphic novel.
The Crow: Stairway to Heaven was okay, but could have been better if The Crow/Eric Draven was a secondary character sometimes instead of being the Main Character ALL the time... There should have been a new Crow about every other episode or every third episode... And that it would up to Draven to find and teach that Crow the difference between Revenge and Justice. If that Crow didn't want to learn, they would have to settle up with the original (Draven) and could either be destroyed or banished to Hell... Hell was only seen once, if that, and it wasn't a long enough glimpse... The things that might have been...
What is the deal with having to work the dead wife into every episode? Dream sequences, flash backs, even near death experiences. I would have loved to have seem more episodes just to see how they could bring her back after all the old cliches were used up.
Day One: I guess the show wasn't all that bad but it wasn't the "Crow" we all know and love. If it had been an entirely different character it might have been decent.
This show never jumped...sure Mark wasn't the same as Brandon but he was the best that they could find to play him. I unfortunately never got to watch the show on it's original run but now that Sci Fi shows it I watch it as much as possible. The only semi-bad part of the show was when Eric kept finding Shelly and could never keep her. FYI: Mark and Brandon were actually best friends growing up.
This show didn't jump. I watched it religiously, from episode one, until I couldn't find it on anymore. As for Bruce and Brandon Lee...Marc Dacascos isn't either...but he is damn good. This was a good show, good concept, and good acting.
I'm a big fan of Mark Dacascos, and I think he deserves his own show, but it was a mistake to try to make a sustained show out of The Crow. The Crow was about one thing, revenge, and when that's done it should end. Not to mention that it was a direct rip off of the movie, and Brandon Lee deserves better than to have a lackluster series made out of his best movie (the one he died filming).
I can't even comment on this show. It sucked so bad. Brandon Lee AND his father Bruce are both rolling over in their graves. The first time I was channel surfing and caught sight of it, I almost vomited. I've got to talking about this before I kill someone.
I watch this show all the time, in Canada it's on the new vr and space. I don't know why I like it so much, but something about Draven's fighting moves, they're so unpredictable. I'd love to meet the person that choreographed the fight scenes.
It may have jumped before this. However, it undoubtedly jumped with a very special episode devoted to the rape of Munroe by a gang of oversexed fat women.
