Day One
Network Switch (ABC to NBC)

First of all, Alicia Witt did NOT co-star on "Getting By"...the actress who the previous commenter referred to is named Nicki Vannice. Also, when the show moved from ABC to NBC it really began to suck, because they changed the opening theme to a stupid "California Dreams" wannabe and completely neglected everything that ABC had done to make the show so good in the first place. This one could have been a keeper if ABC hadn't sold it to NBC, and it had remained on TGIF.
This show was an example of the network, (NBC, I think), spending absolutely no thought on a midseason replacement, airing it for a couple of episodes, and then axing it due to low ratings. Gee, I wonder why it didn't catch on? Because it sucked? No kidding. The entire premise was just a lame "Kate and Allie" ripoff, with two single moms raising their families in one house. "Rachel" from "Family Matters" was one of the moms, Cindy Williams was the other, and Alicia Witt, who went on to play "Chloe" on "Cybill" was one of the kids, but this show was just another bad, contrived sitcom with no brains. I'm pretty sure only 4 episodes were shown, and that was 4 too many for this cookie cutter trash. I can't believe they actually had an episode where Witt's character had to "come to grips" with the fact that this guy she had a crush on had gained like 10 pounds at college or something. Ick.
