i cant believe people didnt like rory and dean as a couple they suited eachother so well! alothough i didnt agree about the way she lost her virginity. but come on it was always dean she was gunna loose it to. it was her first love and to me her only love that was true at least!
This show would have been a lot better if a meteor had struck these two broads the first time they started yammering away at each other.
This show jumped the shark when Luke got a daughter. Simple as that. I remember watching and being like What? seriously I prayed for weeks that it was some weird dream. The show only got weird after that, like Luke not telling Lorelai, and being weird about it, that wasn't like Luke at all. Actually Luke having a kid he didn't know about was just stupid.
Then Lorelai getting married to christopher in Paris, and her being married to him in general, ummm that was another jump the shark moment.

Luke, April, Rory?? Come on people, get a grip. This was 2 yappy broads trying to do whatever. It's over--let it die. Please, this show had no redeeming value. It would be best if we all just walked away with nothing else said.
I WANT GILMORE GIRLS BACK ON THE AIR!!! It WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER! WHY DID THEY CANCEL IT AND WHY ISN'T THE PETITION GOING ANYMORE???? I NEED IT BACK AND I WANT AT LEAST A MOVIE, SPIN-OFF, OR ONE MORE SEASON. THE FANS OF GILMORE GIRLS DESERVE THAT MUCH, SINCE WE STAYED BY IT FOR SEVEN FREAKIN YEARS!
I believe, honestly, Luke finding out he had a daughter was when they jumped the shark. April, I believe, was added to replace Rory, but keep the super freaky genius aspect in their lives. It's always the problem with shows containing real people - especially kids/teens. They grow up. That's why the Simpson's have been on forever. Cartoon kids don't have to grow up. Anyway, the show had an interesting element to it, and I enjoyed the fast paced witty banter, but the whole thing with April just irritated the crap out of me. Also... who wasn't irritated that Rory ditched out on Logan's proposal to join Barack Obama's campaign tour? I mean... I knew they were flaming liberals, but could look past it until that point. It made me really sad that they had to jump into politics like that. There's a time and a place - the CW is not that place.
This show jumped the shark every week about 25 seconds into the show when Laurilie opens her mouth only to spew some stupid sarcastic comment. 95 % of what comes out of her mouth is sarcasm. As if mothers and daughters speak this way to each other ... this is one ridiculously stupid show!!!
I stopped watching it, after jess left. He was the cute and really sweet. I can't see why he had to leave. and watching his realtionship with rory was much more fun than with dean or logan (ugh...)
I liked the first season or so. Then gradually (post Dean, I think) Rory's behavior became more and more irritating. I'm not a prude- my complaint is not that she was the town bicycle, but that she became like every other young female character on a hit show: painfully thin with perfectly styled hair and a string of boyfriends and bad behavior that did not entertain me but just made me feel tired. I liked her so much better at the beginning when she was smart and charming and quiet and looked like a real girl.
OK, Carlee, here we go--please try to pay attention:
You said: I NEVER said that I thought that adultry (sic) was a good thing, or even remotely decent, all I said was... blah, blah, blah. What you then said was a bunch of stuff to justify adultery.
Then you said: I NEVER compared adultry (sic) to "murder", or "robbing a bank" I simply said that sometimes being in love with someone is not a crime, and you can't help but love a person. But you can stop yourself from having sex with a married person. Believe it or not, people actually have the ability to make choices. And I'm the one who made the comparison between justifying adultery & murder--your rationale for adultery exactly mirrors the excuses that I demonstrated for committing murder; the act is different but the justifying logic is exactly the same.
Then you said and being a "kid" in a "divorced family" has absolutely nothing to do with this television show.. Right. But it has everything to do with the repercussions of adultery. Try to follow this: Adultery often leads to divorce. Divorce often involves kids. Shows like "Gilmore Girls" that glorify adultery help to justify it in the minds of impressionable folks like yourself. Hence, divorce becomes that much easier.
This isn't rocket science. It comes down to a very basic principle: life is full of choices; choices have consequences.
