I think the point of the show was great. This culture is slowly becoming extinct, and the thought of bringing it back and teaching our youth about it was an excellent idea. I would have rather seen someone with a better understanding of education to teach these kids the right way of doing things. His way, of course, we all can agree was not always the right way. I feel for the kids on the show, and don't know how they put up with his attitude as long as they had. I would have punched him within the first week if he talked to me like that. I hope the kids on the show are still pursuing their dreams despite the horrible experience they had with so called mentor Jimmy Shine. How he got his own show I will never understand. I think there should be more females in this industry and to me, the blonde girl gave just as much attitude as the guys on the show, but she was treated so much differently because of it. Hopefully she is still pursuing her goals of building cars. I saw a lot of potential from her. I hope to see her again in the future.
it's so funny that I found this page, because I said the same thing when I first watched the program. How can a guy like Jimmy and a place such as so cal agree to that crap. It is an insult to the hobby. But his truck is incredible
Does the producer of this show have the attention span of a 6 month old? Why are scenes played over and over again?
TLC tends to use too much drama and less building of vehicles. I hope this isn't Boyd all over again. After a while, these shows are all the same.
