It died in 1989 after the original kids like Martika, Ryan, and Renee were aged out. They held on to Stacy for as long as they could, but the new kids like Hewitt just didn't have the charisma to carry on.
Hi everyone. My name is Ray, from Utica, NY. I will be visiting Poland soon, and I am hoping to meet my Polish relatives. I also hope some people from here may help me in contacting my relatives before my visit. Thanks and looking forward to meeting some great people on here!

You people obviously don't know much about the series network order! It was on NBC for IT'S FIRST TWO
SEASONS! SEASONS THREE ON WAS ON THE DISNEY CHANNEL! IT WAS ON HIATUS IN 1990, BUT DISNEY BROUGHT IT BACK, BUT IT WAS ON DISNNEY IN IT'S 1986- 1989 SEASONS!!!
Two hot women came from this show: Marta "Martika" (Gloria) Marrero & Stacy "Fergie" (Stacy) Ferguson.

Both of the two made this show live.

Both sung well during their stay.

Sadly, the show wasn't the same without them.

It was a good and well-worth-watching show from 1984 to 1989.

I sure hope that the show will be released on a remastered, Blu-Ray Disc format sometime soon.

THE END!
LMAO, some of the comments on here about this show are ridiculous. If you care enough about it to look it up on Jump the Shark all these years later and whine about how awful it was IN GREAT DETAIL obviously you watched it a ton as a kid, and probably enjoyed it at the time. Of course it was dorky by today's standards and cheesy -- it was a Disney Channel show made for little kids! What do you expect?
I am from Hong Kong and is a big fan of Kids Incorporated.I really hope the show will be on DVDs very soon!!!(Acturally, I can't wait to but them!)
Well, though the show was in desperate need of some upscale acting, I have to say it was my favorite show growing up. The talent of the kids varied from season to season, but on the whole it served its purpose as cultural extention to kids. For those of us growing up in the late 80's and early 90's this was the perfect oulet for us. We were too young to watch MTV, and too old to be seduced by the arrival of Barney, so this show offered us a happy medium. Looking back on the episodes I wonder why I was so enamoured by this poorly acted kid-drama, but at the same time there was a colorful pallette of music, dance, and fashion. Now that I am an adult and seeking a career in the dance/musical theatre/music industry, I can understand why I found the PLACE to be so wonderful and facinating.
I completely forgot about this show until I heard Fergie was on it. I don't remember her at all. I remember Martika and Rahsaan/The Kid, because they could sing and were never successfully placed. I definitely had a Martika crush back in the day. The Kid had amazing diction and power for his age that the replacements never quite matched, IMHO (although I'm not sure why I care...) It seemed like they kept his replacement Kenny Ford longer than they kept him, although it ends up being about the same amount of time (83-87 vs 88-92). Again... why do I care?

Either I got older as I watched, or the casting department got worse, because it seemed like each successive generation of kids was worse and worse. It was really funny. When I watch I can tell when the girls are about to be replaced because they suddenly sprouted boobs, and the boys no longer looked or sounded like boys. Everything else about the show was corny. But I still watched. In my mind, the show must have jumped before Disney bought the repurposing rights, as it had been canceled by that point. Another jumping point is when the original cast was replaced and they tried to make Stacy the Martika replacement. Because I don't remember the Disney-ordered episodes at all... just the reruns of seasons 2-5.

I don't regret watching them. It was fun while it lasted. My parents stopped ordering Disney anyway.
