Guest at 11:44 on Jun 27, either you're Stephi under another name or you're just as lame as she is. And neither or you have a clue. WTF made a valid point. Stephi and you need to find another website. Stephi wrote "This should be only for people who love the show to talk about it and the story lines and such, not mean spirited bashing." And you think she understands what jump the shark means? You both need to join a Law and Order fan club. There you can post all the love and roses you want and leave the rest of us alone.

She was obviously outraged by the comments people wrote.when she wrote "This should be only for people who love the show to talk about it and the story lines and such, not mean spirited bashing." i bet she figured Since people are bashing the show and Not Talking about the "shark jumping" Then they might as well apreciate rather than Bash it.
SVU was iffy from the beginning but it truly jumped the shark when Ice "Cop Killer" T joined the cast. Obviously the producers either didn't care, were too stupid or just wanted to thumb their nose at the police (the REAL police) when they hired him to play a cop. Yet I'm sure if they were ever assaulted they'd be begging for one to show up. Typical of sheltered Hollywood libs.
And Guest at Jun 27, 2008 11:44 PM re the post by Stephi: Nice try, but no cigar. When she writes "This should be only for people who love the show to talk about it and the story lines and such, not mean spirited bashing" and, even worse "You should be banned from posting here. You should be in jail like all the racists!" it's pretty well clear that she does not just want us to play nice. If you're calling for people´s heads for just expressing an opinion about a TV show then you are seriously unhinged. Calling people racists? C'mon.

Still like the acting, especially Ice T as Finn, but the plot lines are getting too outlandish, like when Robin Williams was going to blow up Olivia and he faked it.
Or Stabler goes blind. If I wanted to watch 1970s melodrama, I'd watch a rerun of Chaarlies Angels or the Mod Squad
The dad/vs son episode with Steven Collins in it was SVU at its best.

I bet she Understands perfectly fine what "jump the shark" is. Now All She's trying to get across is that if you truly believe SVU jumped the shark you can always state your beliefs in a NICE and Mature way. Plus she's right, theres more bashing then there are people explaining why they believe svu has"Jumped the shark". So seriously if your going to Talk about this site Being for those who only talk about svu jumping the shark, then Look again becuase half these comments have to do with why people "Hate" the show which BTW has nothing to do with jumping the shark...so Before you go on and embarras yourself like that again read around =]
Stephi, Do you have any idea what website you're on. You obviously don't have a clue what jump the shark mean. If you're looking for a website that is "only for people who love the show to talk about it and the story lines and such, not mean spirited bashing." as you put it, you need to keep looking. This ain't it!!!
Stephi, Are you that stupid? And I quote what you said "This should be only for people who love the show to talk about it and the story lines and such, not mean spirited bashing." You obviously do not have a clue about what jump the shark means. This website is expressly designed for people to write just what they are writing. I suggest you ask someone what "jump the shark" means before you embarrass yourself again.
I don't understand why all these people trash the show like that. Jump the Shark should not allow you people to post here on our board. Who are you people to jump on Olivia like that? Don't you know how hard it is to do that job? Mariska is the best actress on the show and Diane Neal is very pretty. And for all you people talking about all the PC well your racism is showing! You should be banned from posting here. You should be in jail like all the racists! This should be only for people who love the show to talk about it and the story lines and such, not mean spirited bashing.
i am a HUGE svu fan but i can also see flaws which EVERY show has. Mariska and Chris are amazing actors who portray their characters extremely well. some of the episodes and twists are way out there but not ever episode out of their 203 so far can be great. real svu detectives can hardly stand the nature of these crimes, even though M and C are not real cops they steal get the horrible details and see things upclose. they have changed thousands of peoples lives and have helped them through alot of their issues and for that there is no way not to respect them in every way. i never thought the show was jumped the shark. with dani beck coming in it made alot of fans extremely mad, but i think her character did the best she could considering she came in so late in the series except the darn kiss could have been left out!
Brit i think your the only person here thats at your senses! everybody else is either bashing the show or bashing an actor/character. So thank you for being the only person in here who apreciates the show and the efforts put into it by the Writers, producers, actors and everybody else involved =]
Now to the guest who said
"how can anyone stand looking at diane neal's awful face? ugh...she kiils this show."
Seriously your the first person iv ever heard say that. Diane is drop dead gorgeous! you must have some Wierd taste not to see it! plus im sure that a person's "ugliness" Cant kill the show becuase if it takes pretty people to keep the show standing then the storyline itself was never good to begin with.
and to the rest of you who i cant qoute and individually point out your faults. i beg you!!! to Open your eyes and quit critizing the actors so much! they do what they can with what there given. plus you only kill the show for yourself if you carefully analyze everything. C'mon its TV anything is sure to happen.

I don't LIKE to watch this show since the writers sent Cabot/March into WP because I don't think they ever flushed out her possibilities to act in a less monotonous, stoic fashion. The entire terse and logical robotic style she evinced made for a unidimensional character, which was unfortunate. The writers back then were better, however, excepting this oversight. Of course, they had to kill any potential "bimbo" portrayal, as March was younger then, and ADAs don't "like totally awesome" it with any credibility. Casey/Neal's character is irritating. It's call "Law and Order," which suggests that the show needs a prosecutor, court scenes, and NOT MAKE THIS A SHOW ABOUT TWO cops. I think the only hope for it is to bring March back--but I don't think she wants to go down with the ship of SVU that has been sinking for some time. Since her departure, the characters of Munch and Fin have slowly been obliterated: and THEY were funny. Noir, but still, the show needs some intelligent humor to bear the tension of a sex crimes show. It's become about Hargitary and Meloni's characters. And an exploration of personal lives isn't a bad idea. But what substance do these explorations contain and project? Skin on Meloni for both ogling genders? Word up is that Benson/Hargitay gets a boyfriend and maybe this will last for half a season, given who casting chose for the bf--unlikely match. I suggest that Wolf pay whatever it takes to get an older March back and give her a sense of humor as ADA Cabot. Give Munch and Fin more central positions and substance, especially that dark humor, and the banter between them should extend to the rest of the cast, as it once did. NOT ALL OF US ARE MORONS. VOCABULARY HELPED THE SHOW. Thank you, Belzer/Munch writers. It's the writers who are sucking tea kettles. And casting. I won't go to Hargitay's acting. I mean, it IS funny--she goes from a butch look and persona to a weepy femme persona--and thank GOD somebody convinced somebody back to short hair. Her sarcasm used to work. It went away; thus, it can't work! I think Wolf really needs to BEND, warp, do something with casting and writing to maintain or gain or regain an audience with triple digit IQ. For certain, this can't continue to be a cop show with two main detectives in the only spotlight shone on it.
Ripped from the headlines! The Robin Williams episode with the guy posing as a cop over the phone while calling the burger joint, telling the manager to have an employee strip naked.
The show hasn't jumped yet, but it's showing a fin (no pun intended). Tonight near the end Lake killed a cop who helped set him up for murder and/or to be murdered. Although he was appropriately arrested, this is the first time any L & O cop committed a murder---of a fellow officer, nonetheless. It's just as well that Adam Beach isn't going to be returning because this episode ruins his character.
