S-E-X-X,I mean, Lexx was another horrible abomination created by yet another geek who couldn't and still can't get action even with a partner, money and a little fame. What a pompous, flaming, flagrant piece of garbage, from the master of all that is schlock known as the SciFi Network! If you really want to know what kind of mindless pseudo-intellectual wannabe flotsam this network calls entertianment is Please watch this sleaze!
Lexx was a great show with a lot of imagination. A sexy dark comedy that didn't take itself too seriously.
The seasons that took place in the "light" universe and the movies were great.
The fire and water season was terrific as well. Prince became my favorite evil villan and his tireless torture of Stanly Tweedle.
Once they came to earth...well. The positive point to this is I liked the way that this planet was labeled as the epicenter of the dark universe where the ATF run America. It takes a good jab mockingly at mostly american culture that would offend mostly the stupid and unthinking.
An intelligent and arcaine show that will not be duplicated any time in the near future. I was sad when it ended but it was better to end than to drag on and become boring.

Ellen Dubin! I loved you as Gigerotta! I especially liked how you delivered your lines as if you were some board-room director instead of a sleezy cannibal. I loved how you vexed Stan...I wish there had been more of you in the show!!!!
Best show ever. The Fire and Water story arc was by far the best. The satire in season 4 was hilarious and the acting was always top notch. Their are not many shows out there that have their own unique look with completely original characters and plots.
People who don't appreciate it do not know what they are talking about.
Romance, action, mystery, theatre, musical, comedy, satire, it had everything and dared to be different.
It should be applauded.

Had a few clever moments, but not underrated--it was overrated. If you want some clever, underrated Sci Fi try the British series "Red Dwarf." The only consistent appeal of the show was the women, and their are plenty of other places to go for that.
My all time favorite sci-fi show, like all shows it has its off episodes but it maintains its appeal and personality throughout the series. I wish it were still around. imo it never jumped the shark.
Hi
I need to make a comment
I had the good fortune of acting in LEXX
as Giggerota the Wicked Queen and Pope,
Brian Levy and Jon Comeford were the CASTING DIRECTORS OF THE SHOW IN CANADA (NOT ME) AND I AM NOT MARRIED TO THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS kAI- MICHAEL MCMANUS
I am not sure where John Lovett who posted on Sept 6th got his information from.
I acted in it= didn't csat
and am not married to the actor who plays KAI

lexxsuxx has not got a clue. Lexx did take a dive in the 3rd series with only a few stand out episodes, but series 4, despite being on Earth was back on Form.
It was a total satire of not only the Sci-fi genre but of current events from when the series was written, most obvious the stabs at the US presidency, to subtle jokes such as CJD.

The most sexist scifi show in forty years. It got what little ratings it got through objectifying women's bodies. Also, how could a previous reviewer call its satire "subtle." It was lame, hit you over the head with a sledgehammer satire. I can't think of a single scifi show that has been worse written, acted or directed.
The first two seasons were great, but then for season three it lost the German backing and became a space sit com with lots of sex. It lost it's point and just wasn't the same any more.
This is one show where the musical episode worked well. Although one thing that always puzzled me, Brian Downey is a big star of Stage musicals yet he didn't sing.
The switch to Xenia Seeberg worked as she is a talented actress and singer, where as Eva Habermann was a model. Plus the blue dye made her go bald.
Ellen Dubin who played Giggorata was also the casting director, and cast her husband as Kai.

I LOVE LEXX! It was inventive, demented, funny, weird and never ever boring. Some episodes were funnier than others, like the LuvLiner episode where the hologram machine doesn't know what 790 wants to have sex with (a blender, wrench, hammer), or the the Brigadoom episode which was just plain freaky brilliant. Or how about the toilet bowl that licked your butt clean after the fact? LUV LUV this show, and everybody I show it too (I have all the DVDs) get's hooked on it too. And to settle the score...both Xevs, Bunny, and Gigerotta were all HOT HOT HOT, in their own special way!
The show jumped when the 1st love slave was reduced to liquid. Still, it was enjoyable with great sleezy evil characters like Mantrid. It was too dark for US viewers who need the happy ha-ha ending and the teenie fantasy world.
This show didn't jump the shark, it was eaten by the shark.
I watched this show with the same fascination that one has when witnessing a train wreck...

Lexx never jumped the shark, but it was plagued by inconsistency. There were some bad episodes, and also some very brilliant, creative and original episodes, throughout all four series of its run. I think what made it work, though, was that the writers remained the same throughout the project and they were always 100% committed to their vision. Their vision didn't always work, but overall I think Lexx remains one of the most original, creative and at times brilliant science fiction shows ever, despite its many problems.
