It probably jumped when Lizzie had an affair with the paperboy who looked astonishingly like a young Gary Busey with a defective gene...

This was the first Disney show to have the two-girls-and-a-boy-best-friend-trio formula, setting the pattern for That's So Raven, Hannah Montana, etc. Why does Disney always use this formula? I've never seen that combination of best friends in real life.
Never jumped--I LOVED it!!!! Closest it came to jumping was Lannie inexplicably not being able to speak, but only Matt can "hear" him...and when Kate and the other cheerleaders got to lead an anti-Lizzy cheer at a schoolwide pep rally (U G L Y You ain't go no alibi--you ugly!!!). What kind of faculty would let that happen and not throw Kate out of school? But I totally loved this show and otherwise thought it realistically portayed middle school life, cliques, popularity issues, etc. LOVE IT!!! : )

Seriously, though, I guess that kind of show is good for preteens, and I didn't much care, but when Hillary Duff started to pretend to be a "singer" I got pissed.
Basically, she got a studio to alter her voice to make it sound good, like they do with most music nowadays, then someone handed her a page of lyrics that are simplistic and repetative love songs to memorize. Then they marketed her face and the pop songs to preteens who liked her from this show, and people act like she's amazing.
She's good for tweens, but I just don't see her appeal to older audiences.
She has a long way to go from the lame ass "stumbles into trashcans" crap on Lizzie McGuire.

Look, Lizzie was in...what? 7th and 8th grade during the show? When I was in 7th and 8th grade (i'm in 10th now), I dealt with mean popular girls, fitting in, crushes, dances, tough teachers, weird stuff at home, etc just like she did! Obviously they can't show drugs and sex on the Disney Channel, but how much of that do you honeslty see in a MIDDLE SCHOOL? You can say Naturally Sadie or That's So Raven are unrealistic, because they are in high school. But Lizzie was only 13!
I think the show was cool. I always liked it. I haven't seen it in years tho. I never really liked Miranda so it didn't bother me when she left. Larry Tudgeman was funny, and I liked it when Kate showed her human side. Lizzie McGuire was a great T.V. Show. The acing wasn't exactly PURE HOLLYWOOD, but it was okay. It taught young children and some teenagers valuable lessons. Such as friends, secrets, peer pressure, consequences or breaking rules, and just living life as a regular teenage girl. The most important was that it teaches you to be YOU.
Now for those who dislike Hilary Duff (sorry if i misspelled the name) I dont see why you should! I love her, she seemed like a very nice person, and for those who think she is overweight... Teenagers see this website! Don't you know what anorexic (pardon my misspelling) is? You're missleading teens to beleive that they are overweight and ugly. Please don't say things that could change the future...
Now for those who are complaining about people saying mean things about this show... THATS WHAT THE WEBSITE IS ABOUT!!! If you don't like the show, you can post why! If you like it, say you like it! I'm tired of seeing stupid comments of people who LIKE the show saying "Oh, stop saying mean things! This show rocks! WHY ARE YOU POSTING SUCH MEAN THINGS!?" Those people need to see what this website is about.

Most of the comments say "Not realistic" but not to sound rude, most peoples lives are kind of boring to watch. Its a rated G disney show, they cant show drugs and what not. Yes Lizzie's fashion style in this show is quite ugly, and she says coolio. But its for children like 7 years old. Deal people. & Hilary duff is a great singer / actress. Better than all of you =]
I think 'Miranda' got a big head and left the show thinking she was the next "Disney Hottie", have you noticed shes not been seen again.
If 'Lizzie' would have been going to my Jr. High school, she'd be in the washroom all day getting rid of all the drool from the guys slobbering over her hot little bod.
