It didn't jump for me, the "Bizzaro" episode was the best one.
First season was hilarious and usually involved seeing how much hilarity you could wring out of a simple event

After that it just seemed to be all about how many random things they could have moving around on screen at once.
the show jumped the shark after season one. The dialogues of the first season were HILARIOUS. Then season two started and it sucked really bad, i mean...stupid animations and fart jokes...how lower can you get?
To the best of my knowledge flash was used from day one, as it is for almost every Williams Street Production. For all the things these guys have, budget isn't really one of them and flash doesn't require a lot.

Definitly jumped on the loss of Harry Goz. Still a good show, especially when Sharko jumped the tank full of Fonzies, but clearly in decline.
in the beginning, they simply used nothing but old footage from bad pilots of hannah barrbera shows that never saw the light of day. Later on, they started just sort of inserting things in there, which did work for a while, and the show became a little different, showcasing the truly brilliant stylings of harry goz.
so it was really two puddle jumps with a mud shark lurking deep beneath the earths crust, who would then cause the earthquake that decimated the whole of sea lab and it's subsidiaries.

BTW Is Harry GOZ the same as Harry GOAZ, who was on twin peeks? ( i think he played laura flynn boyles dad in it. it does sort of sound a little like him. Strange that there are two actors, one goz, the other goaz, and both harry. They appear to be of similar age)
Since when did the show not use flash animation? And what exactly did they use to animate the show before this change? I don't feel the show jumped. Of course without Harry voicing Captain Murphy the shows popularity declined. Was it in it's primacy with Captain Shanks? No, but it still had more moments after that than a lot of the crap on adult swim now.

the exit of the origional captain was it for me,sealab was so funny with him,and when he left ,so did the dignity of this show

oh well
The show was always at least kind of entertaining for me, but it stopped being as funny (and ergo jumped the shark?) when the comedy became too random. That seems to be the formula for Adult Swim series; they start off as quirky but end as entirely too random and non-sensical. The only show to do this and remain watchable has been Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

But anyway, as far as Goz's death or the switch to Flash, I don't think either one was a "jumping the shark" moment.
yeah what ever hapened to that show?
Sealab jumped the shark from day one because it is godawful and about as funny as pediatric AIDS.
This show never jumped.

I noticed former You Can't Do That on Television Star Adam Reid was actively involved in the show's production.

I believe he is currently in charge of Adult Swim (or was).
Capt. Murphy was the heart and soul of that show. He was the funniest character on the show, and on Adult Swim in general. Sometimes I laughed until I cried watching him. And when Harry Goz died, the show should've died too. There were some more funny moments but it wasn't the same. Harry Goz was Sealab 2021. He made the show.
Harry Goz was the voice of Captain Murphy.
The show jumped when they replaced Captain Murphy with that redneck dude. Who the hell is Harry Goz?
