Season 12 has been average so far, we need a quick upturn or south park will have jumped, which would be a change because I enjoyed season 11.

South Park jumped the shark a long time ago. It's hard to pinpoint a specific moment but at some point it stop being a comedy that occasionally has something incredibly smart to say about "issues", and started being a soapbox that occasionally makes a funny joke. The writers are smart enough to see this and make a post-modernist joke about it (in the Bart Simpson/Family Guy/Mohammed episode) They were clever enough to acknowledge that they are getting "all preachy and up their own ass" But the thing is, being smart enough to point out how you suck, doesn't make you suck any less.

South Park, in it's first 4 seasons or so, was truly revolutionary television. Now it is just a brand, and a fading one at that.

and another thing season 11 had night of the living homeless and the tourettes one. imagination land was class and south park did not jump the shark with imaginationland cause the episode called the list was after the that and that episode was great. then three episodes later there was another classic which was major boobage. and then another three episoides later there was another great episode which was over logging. and THEN there was super funland which was hilarious with butter not letting go of cartmans hand and all.

i have a had enough with everyone saying south park jumped it has,nt. look at major boobage it was a classic and canada on strike and over logging were great. at least its better than simpsons.

I can't help but having to deny vehemently, but WITH cohesive arguments.Season 8 for example contains some of the best written episodes in the whole damn show, like "Good Times With Weapons" which is both an awesome spoof of jap anime, with their stupid nonsense english lyrics in theme songs ("Let's fighting love") and a very strong message that violence is just as bad, if not more so, as nudity on television. Plus it was really funny. Season 8 contains also such instant classics as "Douche and Turd" and "Quest for Ratings", which were hilariously funny and had a great message to them. SP never jumped the shark, and never, ever will. I'm SUPER serial.

It probably jumped the shark long before this episode, but when they acted like 'it's O.K. to make fun of Mohammed' then they couldn't make fun of Mohammed. After that you never want them to make fun of Jesus ever again.

I'd love to see a plethora of movies, music, and T.V. shows make fun of the divine prophet, but they're too scared.
