Shark Bytes

It didn't have time to jump the shark, really, since it was on for only one season. This was a fabulous show, alas, but could have done with fewer wacko characters like Patsy, the ditzy photographer neighbor, whose subplots distracted you from the mystery du jour. The conflicts among the detectives, and the conflict of the workplace romance between Phil and the guy from Internal Affairs, were believable and well-done. I was disappointed when CBS didn't renew the show for a second season.
