Jim Rome doesn't choose which e-mails are read on the air on his radio show. That's the job of his producer. I don't think Rome sees them in advance of reading them. I think they sometimes read distasteful messages to tell the idiots that send those e-mails not to send them again.

8/22/07 Jim Rome is reading emails making fun of the Eddie Griffin story. A human being who was just killed in a train wreck. He can say he doesn't think it's funny, but reading the emails on air is his way of still saying these things but pretending like he doesn't condone it. What a d!ck. This guy is an a-hole. Jim Rome just lost a listener.
I really think the above poster's view of evangelists is seriously warped. For one thing if you compare people like Jim Rome to wonderful Godly people like Billy Graham, you're comparing Samuel Adams (crappy beer) to Bud Light (classic stuff!). I have never liked Jim Rome because he has always had an air of arrogance and is a real smart-assed person who couldn't carry a show to save his soul. Praise Jim Everett for putting him in his place.
The show jumped the shark when he called Jim Everett, Chris Everett and Jim got physical with Jim and shoved him over on the chair. We all know that was a publicity stunt that he did to become a big TV and Radio personality he shouldn't be today. Jim Rome is related to Bill O'Reilly. They are both jackasses, with nothing but tunnel visions on there own views and they recruit other idiots to believe what they preach. They are similar to evangelists.
