Great show ! The final season was weak, but the rest was awesome.
I'm shocked that The A-Team did not become a HUGE cult classic 20 years after its demise: Steven J. Cannell's writing, ridiculous over the top explosions (to this day, when I see a car chase and a car hits the back of another, proceeding to flip end over end and explode, I scream: "STEVEN J. CANNELL!!"). All those bullets, and nobody gets hurt: the way liberal Democrats wish war was waged...
how about the one with boy george and the culture club? i don't think i saw it as a kid, saw it recently on nick at night or something. wow, it was bad meaning bad, not bad meaning good to the tenth power. they must have executed the writer of this episode. uugggghhhh.....
The show jumped when they started to work for the government. It was still cool though. The best thing about the 1980s = NO MEXICANS.
This show was just pure mindless entertainment at its best. You put it in the DVD player and turn off your brain and have fun. That's all it was and everyone knew it. If you take it seriously, you'll have a problem

It jumped the shark in the 4th season when they stopped helping the little guy and started working for celebrities. The 5th season would have done better if it was a completely different series with a different cast. Give the original A-team their pardon and Stockwell forms a new team of people guilty of their crimes and repented by working towards a pardon.
Yeah, it was Season 5 when A-Team jumped the shark. But, the "court martial-trilogy" was damn great!
Robot Chicken did a dead on spoof of the A-team... It summarized every episode ever made in a single 2-3 min sketch.

Oddly, even after knowing how bad the show was, I still watched it.

Until, of course, they started to work for the Robert Vaughn character.
Some people realy don't get it... The A-Team, like Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz always said.

"It was a cartoon-show, with real people."

You can watch it without realy have to think. Just relaxe and watch the A-Team. A show with great actors like Dwight Schultz, Dirk Benedict, George Peppard and off course T.

The best show of the 80's.
:| The A-Team jumped in season 5 with nodoubt in my mind. Overall, a great show but season 5... forget about it...
C'mon now... the show clearly jumped when hunt stockwell came on the scene. The show is great, regardless of never seeing blood, but bringing on hunt to hire the A- team was pitiful. I've religiously purchased each complete season of the A - Team over the past 3 years, but after getting the fifth and final season i wanted to shoot myself.
That Santana character. The Team working FOR the government. Both signs that the show was past it's prime and they were desperate to stir something up. I gave up on the show when I realized that in every episode, they would: 1)get captured 2) build a tank out of whatever their captives had laying around and 3)escape just before the MPs showed up. It became a real Yawner and the suspense was gone.
Jumped when Amy was written off. Melinda Culea was perfect for this role and the character was great. As for them not knowing what to do with her, why didn't they give her a special skill that one of the men didn't have. Plus, her accessability to the newspaper should've definitely been used better.
I just got tired of watching cars flip over bushes or over some plywood that sends the vehicle 20 feet in the air while turning over on its side, every friggin episode. Plus you'd never see anyone get shot. Makes me think of the GI Joe series where everyone made it out of their exploding vehicles safe and sound, everytime you'd see a jet blow up and the cloud dissapates, we were shown the pilot safely parachuting on both good and bad sides. I mean where is the reality of conflict in these shows??
The last season was just HORRIBLE! The elite commando unit held hostage in a restaurant by one guy with a gun was just the epitome of bad. I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER forgive the writers for taking away my favorite character, Murdoch's, charm when they said definitively that he was NOT crazy.
This has to be one of the dumbest shows in the history of television. All of these explosions and shootings going on and no one gets killed?

This show ranks up there or down there with Knight Rider.

Give me a break.
