Yeah Brad Garrett is kinda dopey but thats his character, and Kenny his (lil brother) is hiliarious. I have watched from the very beginning and have to say its only getting better. And Mrs. Woodcock is hot! I dunno what it is about her but she is sexy. The episode where he learned to swim was really funny
I love brad garrett, but this show failed to hook me.
The only reason this show isn't already in the toilet and flushed away, is that for some reason someone at the network keeps saving it. They keep giving it sweetheart spots in the schedule and it still underperforms. Why do they continue to support this POS?
Possible reasons are:

1) A Haitian voodoo witch has cast a spell over the network execs
2) The 6'8" Brad Garrett theatend to beat the s--t out of the people responsible for keeping the show on the air
3) The network is hoping that by keeping Garrett on the air they will get the inside track on a Seinfeld reunion or new show.
That about covers all the possibilities why this mess is maintained.
yeah according to wikipedia, i think, they're switching the premise of til death, taking out the young couple, and i think putting in that little bro that people are talking about here. i didn't really catch that lil bro episode but i don't like the fact of going with a good premise for two seasons, then all of a sudden, changing it by the third. i liked the long-running, married couple meets young and hip newlyweds premise and if they're really taking that out for next season, the show will go down the TOILET in ratings before they get into the middle of it.
Could we possibly add the ******* retarded soundtrack?
Yea, what's with the whole little bro thing. I don't even think the actor who plays him is funny at all. He overacts and is a little bit much. None of the story lines with him have been funny either like the whole "their racist" episode. As a black person my self, I think he is a poor representation of black people. Jump the shark with his character being introduced
I haven't seen every episode but this year was a first where I watched a new show instead of waiting for syndication and really thought it was funny. Like some of the other shows that wound up being great and on the air for 9 years, they also started off with good and bad eipsodes finding their nich. Some didn't really hit the mark till the third season i.e. Seinfeld. I'm giving this one a chance. It's had some pretty good stories.
The problems are many. The female leads are bad. Joely fisher is NOT likeable. Every top she wears shows cleavage. Every one. Why? She is lumpy and dumpy and not pleasant. Kat Foster is a biotch, too much like an ex wife to be likeable. And the main problewm is the lack of use of Eddie Kaye Thomas. From his Finch charachter on American Pie, he is funny and likeable, yet we barely see him on the show. Insted, we get this ludicrous story line of some 40 year old guy being Brads little brother. Ok mildly ammusing for 1 episode, but now part of the series. Horrible decision. I think Thomas is away doing movies and the show is suffering. And so are we.
The new theme song-WTF? Bring back that scat one, not the lame aresed girly tune. And how much more of Kenneth, the "lil brother" of Eddie, will we be subjected to? The Woodcocks are virtually non-existant! Dont fix it if it aint broke, kids!
The problem with this show is absolutley simple.
Brad Garrett is not funny. . .period.
He is simply obnoxious. . . period.
I can't for the life of me understand why this show seems to be a favorite of somebody in power at the network.
With the writer's strike on I've been watching a lot of shows I don't usually watch. I haven't seen the episodes yet, so it's like they're not repeats. I'm doing a lot of finding out why I don't watch these shows. This one is a good case in point. This show fails on a very basic level: it's not funny. It's like the writers took a bunch of canned set-ups, plots and punch lines, mixed them up in a fishbowl and assembled them in the form of a script. The episode that ran last night is a good example:

The dweeby little guy from "American Pie" is chosen as the schools new principal for no apparent reason. Ray's brother makes what I'm guessing is the show's millionth joke about the dweeb being named "Woodcock." He suspends Ray's brother for poking him (?). Grown-up daughter arrives out of nowhere with hippy boyfriend. By-the-book, anal retentive guy hires hippy boyfriend as a teacher, despite hippy having no credentials or experience. Forced laughter. Ray's brother begins acting like a jerk. Rest of the cast sits around and has drinks. Funniest way writers can think of to call dork's wife a slut is to have Ray's brother say she "likes to get jiggy with it." Ray's brother and wife unite to stop the adult daughter and the hippy from having sex in the shower. The End.

This makes no sense at all.
I watched Till Death for about 3-4 episodes, giving the Brad Garrett character every chance to make me look forward to the show. But my Jump the Shark moment was when his wife wanted to get all sexy with him at night and he actually got pissed! And when finally submitting to her seduction, he had to page through a Meat magazine or some crap like that just to get turned on.My mouth dropped and I realized I'm never gonna like this show!
Till Death last year was hysterical. It reeally represented two married people of a long time.

this is it's horrible. How anyone could find it funny is beyond me. It's not funny, it's embarrassing. Her singing was so bad it wasn't funny. His actions at a funeral wasn't funny, but embarrassing. His 'birthday gift', same thing. It's so out of bounds, stupid and embarrassing it's not remotely funny. It has to have some sembalance of realism to be funny.

this year they have gotten meaner and more embarrassing. That is what has ruined the show. It went from the funniest show on TV (next to 2 1/2 men) last year to unwatchable.

BAD writing. Don't strike, quit.
Are you people crazy! 'Til Death is a great show! I think the stories are funny and I love the cast. I often wonder how horrible shows like "American Dad", "The Simpsons", and "Family Guy" remain on the air. I guess this show might actually make sense to a lot of people and most people would rather have stupid, annoying comedy like "Family Guy."
Sorry, but 'til Death has stunk since the first frame, the first scene, the first minute. This show is an example of what failure really is. Cancel this show already. I mean, for Ted McGinley to be on the show is a bad, bad, bad sign. Duh. End the misery. Cancel the show.
