Never Jumped. When we watched it (in New Zealand) soon after it came out - brilliant. It was so subtle, never spoon-feeding the information and often leaving you to work out how they got from A to B. When we saw it as it was supposed to be - not so good. Apparently the version we first saw was butchered by some Australian channel. They just chopped out random bits to make it shorter. This made it better!
Ahead of it's time. It's too bad that the networks cater to the mentality of the majority. Too many good shows like this were cancelled (i.e. Stingray) but dumba$$ shows like The Facts of Life can stay on for years.
UNSUB was the one of the best shows on TV. It's a shame it didn't stay on longer. I was just a kid when it came on but I would stay up late (I believe it came on at 10pm pst because of it's graphic nature) and get scared out of my mind. This show was a masterpiece!
It was cancelled too soon. It was so far ahead of its time that the suits didn't give it a chance. UNSUB was the precursor to Criminal Minds...right down to the number of members, the airplane carrying them from case to case..beginning and end. I love Criminal Minds but it was UNSUB that prepared me. CM still hasn't had the reality of the suits to protect crime scene from contamination...actors hate to have their lovely hair covered. CSI and long blonde hair flowing all over a crime since brings back the story of one red hair being a red herring.
This was the best and of course nobody got it. It WAS CSI before CSI, DNA and entertaining. AS I recall a Emmy nomination or two sent it way after ti was cancelled.
This show never jumped!!! I don't believe that it ever would have jumped, had the network left it on long enough for people to find it. WAY WAY ahead of its time. This is the show that spawned CSI and all the other posers coming out now. As soon as my wife and I saw the first promos for CSI, we looked at each other and said "Unsub"! It was only on for a very short time 14 years ago, but we still remember it clearly. How many TV shows from the past can you recall like that?
Oh, wow! I thought my wife and I were the only two people on Earth that even remembered UNSUB! This was a GREAT show... way ahead of its time.
The original CSI about 10 years earlier and prior to DNA evidence. Starred post Adam 12 Kent McCord and was about a mobile crime lab. They would show up and collect the carpet fibers etc and like the RMP, get their man. Victim of (UN)subpar ratings and an itchy guillotine finger.
Looking for the comments on "Untouchables" I saw the listing for "UNSUB". Had to check it out. This show was excellent, but (as is typical for excellent shows) didn't last long enough to jump. "CSI" is good but "UNSUB" is the gold standard to which "CSI" aspires.
Did not JUMP! Hey!, are the previous post and I the only 2 people that watched this show? Sad, because it was very well done. Creepy, suspenseful and very informative! Loved the scientific stuff. Better than CSI
Never jumped. This show was perfect, a cross between NYPD Blue and the X-Files, too ahead of its time for the corporate hacks to see its potential. When I saw this show at the age of 11, it scared the bejesus out of me, especially the "White Bone Demon" episode, and the end of the show, when the "demon" looked so much like the serial killer's mother! For two weeks afterward, I couldn't be alone in my bedroom without being scared out of my wits, especially since there was a pattern on the silver fabric of a doll I had that looked just like the white bone demon
