Shark Bytes
A wonderfully funny, absurd, and entertaining show. It was never given a chance to succeed. Pity. The least the 'powers that be' could do would be to release the shows on dvd. Hint, hint.
This show ruled, I remember making it a point to watch this show every time it was on. I only wish I would have made it a point to tape it because now that it is gone I miss it so much. I loved the sketch about the guy who slept on his arms, but the one that really got me was the dude who forgot his nose hair clippers. Bloody brilliant!!!!! Going back up to a previous post, the sketch about the Blinded by the Light, my favorite part was when all four of them started singing the song and they were all singing their versions so there were four different sets of lyrics being shouted at the same time. If only genius like this were appreciated by picking the show back up, what was wrong with you Comedy Central????
This show kind of grew on me, and I remember thinking the opener was GREAT--as I remember it, the cast is hanging out in a room while a slo-mo gust of wind blows the entire set away, all to the Sex Pistols' Pretty Vacant. Very cool.
Wow, this was a loss. Sure it had some down moments, but most of it was great. Helluva lot better than the crap they were doing in Kids in the Hall.
It never did. There were maybe a handful of episodes and they were all amazing. Its sad to see great shows go to waste and become shelved for good. Sad, sad, sad.
This was a damn funny show. My favorite skit was with a bunch of guys arguing over the lyrics to the song "Blinded by the Light." One guy was convinced it was, "blinded by the light, wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night...." What the hell are the lyrics to that stupid song anyway? I could never tell, either.
This show was so hilarious! Unfortunately, about 3 people I know have even heard of it. It should have been on for a long time, because it was practically as good as Kids in the Hall. I still have MP3s of "Kneeslap," "Slept on His Arms Last Night," and "This Song is Gonna Make a Great Video." Too bad it didn't have time to become more of a hit, because I think if more people watched it, it would have been a huge hit...well, at least among the freaks like me who love KitH and Monty Python
"Vacant" is right. This show was just a stream of disjointed and unfunny sight gags strung together with no rhyme or reason. Euthanizing this show early was one of the wisest decisions ever made in TV-land.
This show never had the chance! I do believe that this was to be the predecessor to The Kids in The Hall, and could've been great!
A sometimes brilliant, sometimes ??? sketch comedy show that stands out among one of the finest post-Kids in the Hall efforts. I wish Comedy Central gave it more of a chance (this was back in 1995) to grow - I mean, the Kids had a brilliant/rocky start before people realized they were the greatest thing since sliced bread (or at the very least since Python), so these guys might have benefited from more of a chance. Anyone know where to get some of these on video??!
