Rip-off of "Phantom of the Paradise". Watched for the sheer joy of seeing it crash and burn.

No it was Son of Satan was the bad guy. He was trying to make "dad" proud of him.

This amazingly odd show did not jump ol'finhead because it wasn't given enough time. Examples of why it was certain to jump: 1. Greg Evigan without a monkey isn't funny ("but Robby," you say, "explain 'My Two Dads.'" Easy...Paul Reiser is a monkey. I'm saying this. This is what I'm saying. Oook, ook). 2. Paul Schaffer's wardrobe (the stuff he wears on David Letterman pales in comparison to the battery operated Taxi sweater). 3. Satan was a main character. Nuff said.

Actually, I have a unique perspective on this one. I was 11 years old and went to CBS to screen the pilot of this show. They sell their souls (literally) to have a number one single. Hit the green button at parts you like, red at the ones you don't. It was all red.
