YOU AGAIN? was truly one of the saddest things I've ever seen on prime time television. Two actors whose work I've enjoyed separately in the past are brought together as a long separated father and son trying to rebuild their relationship. This jumped from day one because the writing was juvenile and John Stamos and Jack Klugman, charming actors individually, had no chemistry with each other whatsoever. The both just seemed embarrassed to be involved in this debacle. Just a shame.
You Again get my vote as the third worst TV show of all time behind the Anna Nicole Show and Me and the Chimp. What was Jack Klugman thinking when he agreed to do this crap? He must have needed the cash badly. I used to watch John Stamos in General Hospital when I was in college and I hated him on that show. The one bright spot of You Again was that I thought it would kill his career and he'd go back to working in a toll booth. But lo and behold Stamos recovered and settled in for a long run on that stupid show with Bob Saget and the Olson twins.
What was the deal with John Stamos's pants!? The knees always had gaping holes in them- I mean, was this guy suffering from some debilitating medical condition that made him fall down 87 times a day- or was he just an uncouth slob? If I had a kid that dressed like that I'd throw him the hell out, and never be seen with him! Homeless people dress better than that!It was so annoying, I could never really watch the stupid show. What a terrible thing to do to Oscar Madison, cast him as the father of such an oaf!
