Lily has turned into Poor Lilly, because she's the one who gets screwed over time and time again. Not only has she lost Cane, her so-called best friend is with Daniel who broke her heart and is going to take her job! As for Cane, he is the dumbest man I've ever seen. He says he loves Lily ,and he says he doesn't want to hurt her , yet he offers her job to her best friend. Unbelievable. Now I think they are going to have her hook up with Billy and get her heart broken again when she finds out he's the real father of Chloe's baby. By the way, isn't it interesting how Chloe has changed from a nutburger to a cynical, world-weary schemer? More bad writing. Crystal Khalil ought to quit this thankless role.

I hate lily and cane together. I hate victor mourning over a golddigging wife he's only known for like 3 months. I hate colleen she's such a annoying b**ch! I hate sharon acting like now she wants nick after she's been pining for brad while still married to jack. I hate watching gloria bugging her eyes out in every scene will she ever get caught for all the crap she's done? Oh, and I HATE! HATE! HATE! HATE! that new girl who plays eden she is the worst actress! Are they serious? All that overacting is insane! I can't even focus on the storyline because her acting is so bad. Please Y&R please recast this horrible actress before I change the channel permanently.

Isn't Nikki, Victor's wife, the one wallowing in the surf on the beach screaming out Victor's name, and not Vicki, as was stated in someone's post above. Vicki never got to go to Mexico to search for Victor. He came home before she got the chance.

Viki, wallowing in the surf, unable to chase Victor anymore down a Mexican beach, waves crashing over her, yelling "Victor". "Victorrrrrr!!!" after he made it clear that he wished she was dead. Apparently her intervention worked, cause he immediately went home and started behaving like Howard Hughes. Her response to this was to go over to his house and throw a chair through his window, because she did not think he was treating the servants properly. Somehow all of this is a part of them being a "super couple". Makes you miss Sabrina and her and Victor's, Morticia and Gomez love making. No it didn't jump the shark, just scared it off.

I love Y&R but I have a few complaints. First of all, get rid of Adam, he is a pompous douchebag. And while we're at it, get rid of that ugly girl Heather, lord is she terrible. Lately, the storylines have been boring imo. I don't like Cane and Lily together and please don't think it's because Lily is black, they simply don't have any chemistry imo, Cane is way too old for her. What's with all these old guys going for younger girls, it's creepy. Colleen is annoying, can't she and her dopey friend Lily go for guys their own freaking age. Now they set that bitch Colleen with Daniel, I truly can't stand Colleen, she is so freaking stuck up, she thinks she's better than everybody, she doesn't deserve Daniel. Chloe needs to be committed, what a lunatic.

They need to reunite Sharon and Nick, I like Phyllis, but she was better with Jack (who's a real a**hole lately, but I digress). I'm really happy that they killed off David Chow and that golddigger Sabrina. I couldn't stand them, I'm so happy they are FINALLY gone but it took them long enough to kill her. And what the hell happened to Adrian, is he gone for good or what....and what the hell happened to Paul's girlfriend Maggie, she disappeared without any explanation, obviously they broke up but with no warning....

Anyway, sorry this is so long but I had to get this out. I really like Phyllis,Neil,Nick (what a babe),Victor (usually)Nikki,Victoria,Paul,Katherine and Jill (they should have more knockout drag out fights, they're hilarious) I can't stand that blond airhead Amber,Colleen or Lily or Cane and that annoying windbag Adam. Gloria and her stupid antics are also very tiresome. Jana is a fruitcake and Kevin needs to find his b****. The show hasn't jtsed yet but the storylines are boring imo, everyone is bedhopping, going from one relationship to another and it's getting more and more unrealistic, even by soap opera standards. It's still number one but the writers are getting very lazy. Great show though.

I don't agree that Joan Van Ark was a better actress playing Gloria than Judith Chapman. I couldn't stand Van Ark. It's like she was trying too hard and lost her acting ability, and was fake looking. Chapman took a little while to grow on, but I really like her now, especially since Ted Shackelford came into the picture. I really like the 2 of them together. I'm really frustrated about Victor. How can he just have a private viewing for Sabrina, cancel the funeral -- as if he thinks no one else cared for her and has no right to mourn her, and then leave town with no word. Very unprofessional, as far as his company goes, and ultimately rude and inconsiderate to his family. If I was his family, I'd say farwell!! Also, the fact that Chloe can even be pregnant 2 weeks after she had sex with Cane is ridiculous and then have an ultrasound a week later - again, ridiculous! How Cane can even think of marrying Chloe because "it's the right thing to do" is ludicris!! How can you marry someone you don't love and can't stand. A child just needs love and support from both parents. It's not like they live in different cities. There are broken marriages with kids on Y&R and they handle it just fine. Jill was happy that Cane was asking Lily to marry him, and now she going to throw an engagement party for him and Chloe, please -- Get Real People!! The writing staff needs an outsider to look things over for them, because some of this stuff has gotta go. Why the heck did the limo driver receive a phone call and said "Ya, I got them both" - and called Sabrina Ms. Newman (which was obvious that he new she wasn't Chow's wife) when he helped her in the car? -- which to me meant "the mob" meant to kill Sabrina too?? Why? -- which hasn't been addressed yet.

The same old storyline. I dare the writers to let Lily and Kane be happy together but they like it when black girl loses out to white girl no matter how stupid white girl is. I figure there is no need to watch this show any longer since I have seen the storyline before. Good way to lose their audience.

I am sick of the way Y&R treats Lily. It is an insult to black woman. Lily has been dumped on by white men not one but three times! Daniel was married to her, but lusted after that
goofy white woman the whole time. Of course, after he gets Amber, his addiction to **** is cured. Now Cane who adores Lily is being tied to this nutcase who has fooled him and Lily's heart is broken again. They even killed Lily's baby. Writers, either put Lily with a black guy, let her have some happiness with a white one without some scheming white woman interfering, or write her out of the story. By the way, if Cane is brilliant enough to run a company with out education or proper training, why isn't he smart enough to figure out when he's being tricked? Beyond lame!

I completely agree about Gloria. I don't know what in the hell happened to this actress. She used to play Ginny Blake on General Hospital, and back then she was riveting not popping her eyes like Gloria Swanson playing Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard. I don't enjoy people getting fired, but Joan Van Ark was way better and if they have to keep this annoying character they should at least bring Joan back to make it bearable. Also, they need to send that whackjob Chloe
to the nearest asylum ASAP. I am sick of the writing on this show where they write the same storyline over and over. Cane was tricked by Amber, now he's being tricked again? I pray to God that they don't do the crazy- person- dresses- up- as- nurse-sneaks-
into-records-switches-DNA-test-results or crazy-person-like-Sheila-pays-person-to-switch-DNA-test-results for the millionth time. With security at hospitals today heightened because of terrorism and baby snatching that lame premise wouldn't work anymore. Y&R is on the right track with getting rid of David and Sabrina ,who by the way is not only taking too long to croak but is looking pretty glamorous and made-up while she does it. Now they need to dump Chloe. Finally, I hope they don't put Victor and Nikki together again, which is another thing they've done for the millionth time. Nikki should be with Paul.

Gloria needs to be killed off. Immediately.

Every good soap has a terrific antagonist that the audience loves to hate...Dallas had JR, Dynasty had Alexis, Knots Landing had Abby...hell, Y&R used to have Jill. (I know she's still there, but they've defanged her character to the point that she's just cranky rather than evil).

So I'm sure the producers think they've got a terrific antagonist in Gloria, since the audience en masse despises her so much.

The difference is, of course, that with the other examples, the audience LOVED the actor's portrayal of the character and therefore ENJOYED watching the actor play the hell out of the part. We tsk-tsked but loved it as JR screwed over his family to make a business deal, or Alexis tossed Krystle into a lily pond, or Abby kidnapped Val's babies.

The thing is, the audience hates the character of Gloria, hates the way she's portrayed, and hates everything she does. We don't love to hate her...we just hate her, and everything about her. Seeing that pop-eyed bimbo on our TV screens is the ***** equivalent of taking an ipecac, and it must be stopped. Now.

Victor's vasectomies are like Roger Thorpe and Alan Spalding coming back from the dead on Guiding Light over and over again! Good grief! Shows like Bold and the Beautiful and now Y&R are having their patriarchs, McCook and Braden, fall for young starlet Barbie doll models, c'mon! Wrinkly old men marrying 20 year old women...give me a break! Yes, that happens in the real world but on every show that is in the Bell family? If the writers worked harder, they could come up with storylines for these men with their wives (Stephanie and Nikki) and make them believable. There are plenty of challenges that the older couples could go through to make their stories interesting without having to break them up or having them have yet to break up their children's relationships. C'mon writers...EARN YOUR PAY!

The actress playing Gloria is awful. She has a whole bag of acting tics that make her look mentally ill:

*popping out her eyes
*tilting her chin waaaaaaaaaay up, stretching her neck out like a giraffe trying to get at leaves that are just too far out of reach.
*wiggling fingers
*shaking hair out of eyes

Why doesn't the director put her character in a wheelchair and cervical collar for awhile? Say a year. By that time, the actress should have been cured of these distracting gestures.
