Good god! The latest season (12) is terrible beyond words. Bad animation, the characters have all become two-dimensional cutouts, and half the episodes don't even make sense. Really, it's like watching a different show now. The previous new seasons were bad in their own right, but at least they kept with the consistency of the ahow.

It was possible to catch some of the classic Arthur episodes on YouTube, but PBS just had to barge in and make copyright complaints, ruining the fun for the rest of us. What's the deal, PBS? I thought you were supposed to be a public, non-profit organization.

Seasons 1 and 2 were great. By season 3, it was starting to wear out a bit. Season 4 is tolerable at best. But from season 5 onward, it was DOWNHILL. Ugh, the voice changes! Need I say more? Arthur now has a really wimpy voice, and DW, she has become just... weird. Arthur's writers should have taken a note from Seinfeld, and quit while they were ahead, either in season 3 or 4.

This show was funny for so many years, but I watched an episode recently and it doesn't even seem like it's written by the same people (perhaps it's not?). All the wit is gone.

how do I start to give a piece of my mind on this..... I grew up with this show in the late 90's and all through grade school, back then I loved the show, and I watched it for entertainment, I was too dumb to even comprehend the subconscious "educational" value of the show... I mean this was in the time of rugrats and such, I thought arthur was just another one of them kids cartoons.... I stopped watching it during junior high because I thought that it just getting boring..... but then years later I watched it again and find it absoulutely HILARIOUS how politically correct it is, now I sit home and watch arthur and laugh my head off at how ridiculous it has gotten, I mean come on, Im a sixteen year old boy with a sick sense of humor, I laugh at wheelchair people and listen to AxCx (if anyone knows who that is their real band name is too vulgar for this site)..... so the whole George being dyslexic thing just made me piss myself.... I recently watched the infamous "bleep" episode on youtube and I was in STITCHES!!!!! its just plain hilarious that there is a "kids show" out there that is this controversial, and all the parents out there who are all riled up are just plain pathetic, o my god Its just plain hilarious, I mean how much more edgy can you get, mentioning "taboo" things like swear words on a childrens show, I just find it hysterical, If anything this show has gotten even better... and the one where Arthur hits D.W. is pretty funny too, everything about it is... the fact that he hit his sister and its a kids show, the fact that alot of parents overreacted to it, just I dunno how that cant make anybody burst into a smile. My conclusion is that this show never jumped, and it is just plain sick and twistedly hilarious

Dude... it's a kids show. Who freaking cares!
