Hello. I am DruMotana

I am like this forum. Excuse me me for my emotions!
The money for Montecarlo came from the "elevator go boom checks" -- and one of the funniest lines was where Kip came into the apartment to see Henry meditating and said "Henry, I have a rare eye disease - I don't see any furniture". Love it! Best episode was when Henry was in the pool and said he kept his feet drier than a Noel Coward play because he was wearing "La Galoshe" the new designer rubbers from Ed's House of Wetness. And Donna Dixon (the 10th reindeer according to Homer Simpson in Santa school) was beyond hot.
Did I read a post correctly that stated that Kip cheated on Sunny? Donna Dixon was the hottest woman on TV at the time. Such a concept is simply unfathomable. Unless there is an early 80's version of Gisele Bundchen out there somewhere, I doubt this ever occured.
Bosom Buddies rocked. Even the theme song rocked. This is the first show I can remember watching and liking (I'm 28 now), way back in the good old ABC catchphrase days. I even used to get up at 5:00 a.m. when they showed reruns on TBS a couple of years ago. I especially liked in Season 18 where after many mergers, name changes, and hostile takeovers, Henry, Kip, Amy, and Ruth now have the number 3 advertising corporation on Madison Avenue. They finally moved out of that hotel and got some luxury apartments in the Trump Tower. In all seriousness, this was a great show in all aspects. Three episodes really stand out for me: the episode where they get money (I forget from where) and go to Montecarlo and blow it all! (Why not Atlantic City, if the show is set in New York? Oh, well). Another episode I like is when Henry saves the "mobster's" granddaughter, and the last episode I liked is the high school reunion and flashback episode, where Kip has to teach Henry how to "dance".
The things that made the show so good (and funny) are so numerous, I probably can't list them all.
-Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari, for me, are the funniest comedic pair ( in terms of timing, punchlines, secondary jokes, etc.), closely followed by Mark-Linn Baker and Bronson Pinchot of Perfect Strangers and Bruce Willis and
Cybill Sheperd in Moonlighting. (Boy, ABC had hits in the 80's!)
-Donna Dixon was gorgeous as Sunny, the love interest of Kip. Dan Aykroyd is a lucky man (side note: Blues Brothers- all-time favorite movie).
-Wendy Jo Sperber was great as Amy, and while not quite as stunning as Sunny, was still pretty (I liked her, anyway- she seemed nice). I also liked her work in the Back to the Future trilogy, and as Al's ex-girlfriend on Married With Children. She will be missed.
-Holland Taylor was hilarious as Ruth with her side jokes. (The episode where Kip and Henry go to her apartment was pretty funny also, as I remember).
-Telma Hopkins was, well, half of Dawn in Tony Orlando and Dawn.
-Billy Joel's "My Life" and this show are synonomous in my head. (This song played just yesterday on my car stereo, and I can still vividly see the images of Kip and Henry tossing oranges in bags and catching the softball in the park).
-That line that you know and love:(Kip and Henry as Buffy and Hildy, in exaggerated high voices) who Is it? (This actually got funnier after they realized they could stop saying it, but said it anyway out of habit).

I would hope that Kip and "Sunny, Sunny, SunnySunny" eventually got together, and additionally, that Henry finally realized he had a great, quality woman in Amy. (Plus, it's not like any other women were beating his door down, except for the deaf girl in the high school episode).
I have all 5 seasons of Moonlighting in my collection (still waiting on Perfect Strangers), and I am looking forward to getting this series on DVD, as soon as they drop the price to around $20 a season.

"Go ahead with your own life"- Billy Joel
Hi.
I need some help
As I understand when the pitch was made about just 2 friends, it didn't go over well at ABC, but one of the excecs had just seen SOME LIKE IT HOT on tv the night before and said ...If you do that...hey a show's gotta do what a show's gotta do. And Hanks and Scolari had to do what they had to do. Both struggling actors have a chance at a show, i know Tom doesn't like it much when it's brought up, but what a funny well written show. God Bless Wendie Jo, watch both seasons on DVD and see she was a comic genius!
My fav episode is when Kip and Amy get tatoos - from start to finish the funniest episode of the series
My favorite show of all time. Period.
There is no way these two could pass as women. Period. I could see that at the age of eleven. Wendie Jo Sperber was an underrated, gifted comedianne.
She elevated everything she appeared in. Thelma Hopkins was good. Donna Dixon was stunning but talked like she was doing a Marilyn Monroe impression.
This show, despite any shortcomings, was _the_ reason the universe brought those google-eye slinky glasses into being.
Great show and I was glad they released Season 1 DVD's...now bring on season 2.

I just wish this would have lasted longer. As has been said the leads worked well together.
She died in her mid-40's after fighting breast cancer for a number of years. Did have a successful acting career with a number of big movies to her credit.
I read, in surprise that Wendy jo Sperber died a year or 2 ago. Can anyone tell me from what as the article didn't say & I know she was very young to die. Thanks
I LOVE THIS SHOW!
