THIS WAS, AND STILL REMAINS TO BE THE BEST TV SHOW IN HISTORY! PLEASE IF ANYONE WITH ANY CONTACTS CAN GET THIS RELEASED ON DVD PLEASE DO SO.
A sensual opening! What a music!!! Really nice! Mädchen Amick is just a WONDERFUL actress, she plays Very well and is really Beautiful playing a dark haired bitch... I wasn't used to watch her in such a role ! Loved it! justin Lazard is just tooooo sexxxyyy! So Hot! My god! A pity he's not gay... he would have been perfect 4 me;)...
Glamour, wonderful clothes and make-up in a superficial universe... maybe too superficial... tha's why the show never got a enormous success. Characters weren't deep enough... a pity... but it doesn't matter... i still love CPW
This never jumped. its a realistic show, and its interesting to watch. The best drama ever. And that character Niki (she was in ER) she is just so hot i had to watch her every night. Rachel is also hot with that blonde hair. wow. And stephanie's husband is a psychotic. i dont get him. and the actor who is Allen Rush he is a good actor.
I loved CPW so much & hated the fact that the show got axed. I remember watching the show religiously & tried so hard not to blink for fear I might miss out on something. I wish this show gets syndicated or better yet released on DVD & maybe soon made into a movie. They just don't make shows like these anymore.
This show DID NOT jump! Ever! It got better and better and better until its final breathtaking episode. It got crazier too... evil characters went nice, nice characters went evil and generally every plot line got completely turned on its head. Best line... Dianna Brock to Linda Fairchild Rush (asking about Linda's son who has jumped bail after being accused of murdering his wife) "Where is the little wife killer these days?"
Central Park West was the best primetime soap of the mid 90's. Carrie was the biggest bitch and would have torn up Amanda from Melrose Place. Rachel kick ass as well. Two big bitches catfight, both evil. LOVE IT The Show had everything, but however it didnt catch on. So decided to revamp the show from a more older audience. Make Lauren Hutton into a Krystle Carrington..bring Raquel Welch as Alexis, and make Ron Liberman into Cecil. What do you have A Dynasty rip off....Raquel Welch's character gets married to Ron's character then he has a heartache...HOW 82 Season Finale of Dynasty. IT BECOMING BORING...And Carrie lost her bitchiness.
The show never jumped! When Racquel Welch joined it became great and remember when Mariel Hemingway's husband came back as a psycho to kill Machen Amick's Carrie? It was excellent......
Never jumped. Beautiful Maadchen Amick made me tune in week after week.
This show never jumped, it only got better and better. I loved this show, and I think it got a really bum rap. From it's opening frame it was just the bitchiest, nastiest soap opera imaginable. As a New York foodie, I think the catfight between Raquel Welch and Lauren Hutton in the pool at the Four Seasons Restaurant may be my favorite moment in TV history. I only wish I taped every episode.
OK, I liked it. Yes, it was stupid...yes, no one could act...yes, it had no bearing on reality whatsoever, but WOW was it fun! I was never bored watching it, the show was (for a soap) fast-paced, priceless dialogue, interesting characters...I even liked it when they showed the remaining episodes in the summer after it was cancelled. Not a great show by any means but fun!
I thought nothing with Raquel Welch on it would ever be bad, how wrong I was.
As soon as Mariel Hemingway was cast. Has any show ever worked with her? Why is she a star -- I don't get it.
