this show was terrible. And, as mentioned, it was a waste of talent of the late, great Sam Kinison. but also, this not yet mentioned, it was a waste of Tim Matheson. I realize that, thru the years, Animal House is known, and remembered, and worshiped, for John Belushi's role, but Tim was the true star and hero of that movie (OTTER), which was one of the greatest comedies (you can even say it was the only comedy EPIC) of all time.
Never Jumped... the OH OOOOOOOOOH!... I could never get enough of his snappy remarks/faces/screams...
I remember watching the first show when I was only 12. I thought it was the funniest thing, but only when Sam Kinison was on. The rest of the time, I'd be flipping through the channels. But waiting to hear that "OH-OHHHHHHHHHH!" that Sam was famous for... it made the show worth checking out.
Day One. What a waste of the late Sam Kinison. He played the conscience to some nerdball (sort of like "Herman's Head" without the good writing.) Yet another bad Fox sitcom with a great comedian.
No doubt about it, this show never should have aired. Put it down as a Day One. The only funny thing ever about this show was what the late, great Sam Kinison said about it himself in his live stand-up act: "When Fox contacted me and said they wanted me to play the role of a 12-inch man, I thought they had something entirely different in mind, more along the lines of The John Holmes Story or something." I was a huge fan of Kinison's and still feel the loss. Let's just hope they never let this show go into reruns so we can remember him the way he would want us to, coked to the gills, in bed with two incredibly hot, naked young girls that just happen to be sisters.
