I would say it JTS several times.
1. Final Cole vanquishing
2. Chris
3. Magic School (let's see, we ran out of ideas, so let's rip off Harry Potter)
4. Billie finally did it in for me.
When Prue/Shannen left. The show was not the same.
This show JTS from episode ONE and never stopped through all 8 seasons. It was nothing more than Baywatch with a little magic sprinkled in.

Watchable? yes...was the writing and acting any better than Saved by the Bell? HARDLY.

That lame ass ending of the 'ultimate battle'..what a flaming joke. The demons steal a child and raise her much like a 'manchurian candidate'? What a horrid 'plot twist'. I like the idea somebody made of Pru returning from the grave and being evil...THAT would have made more sense. Maybe JTS posters should have written this show and the ratings wouldn't have tanked steadily year after year.
I think it jumped the shark a few times. However it never really became bad. Cole was one of my favorite characters but getting rid of him was understandable. Bringing him back in the cameo was an awesome move at the time. It still remains one of my favorite episodes that season but at the same time they opened a way to put him back in the series and didn't take it. More of an annoyance then an actual problem because it was the actors choice.

Same with pru. They resurrect dead people all the time. They could have tried to get her into a cameo in the later episodes. Paige always took a little getting used to.

It was kind of interesting to see pheobe lose her powers and at the same time it really didn't affect her role much.

Zankoo and billie were the last 2 jumps.Though I suppose wyatt could be considered a jump.
I think it JTS a few times, when they had all the story book creatures, the leprechauns, fairies, etc, that was just plain silly and NOT appropriate for a show about modern day witches. Overall I loved most of the show but Billy kind of ruined it for me the last season. Why was her character necessary? They should have left Billy at home at resurected Prue, Shannon Dougherty from the grave, now that would have been interesting especially if she were EVIL. lol just my 2 cents...........
My problem with this show was the introduction of that Black Guy. What annoyed me was the fact that he was articulate and tried to speak as if he was white. I felt like I was watching Malcom-X or James Earl Jones. Every time I see him, I get very, very angry. This show is supposed to be about withcraft and the like, not about voting democrat and promoting cultural diversity. Other than that, it didn't jump.
This might go along with the introduction of magic school, but I thought it JTS when it introduced the various magical creatures more often, namely the leprechauns. This led to nyphms, ogres, dwarfs and others that took away from the plot of the witches. I didnt mind the new characters of Paige and Billie, they helped to get the male crowd in, with good results. Cole was just getting old and redundant, so it was good that he left.
As far as I am concerned, Charmed jumped the shark when they added Magic School. At first I considered Charmed a “chick show” that my ex wife loved, but after a while I started to appreciate it. The last season or two, the plots started getting just plain silly at times and Magic School didn’t help. I did miss Cole and the tension his character provided.

Charmed never once jumped the shark.. it managed to glide from season to season briskly and with good pacing. As for season 8 and Billie played by the cute Kaley Cuoco she wasn't so bad really, and the ultimate battle was pretty awesome! Charmed remains one of the most misunderstood shows of the last decade, but it was always fun and always about their family bond...
The show jumped several times for me. Biggest jump, when cole left. I loved Chris on the show.. he was good to look at. But the show did become all about piper...phoebe became more of a slut and Paige just became more annoying for me... i stopped watching about season six. Yawn. The whole vanquis demon 15 minutes before the end of the show got boring. pfft.
Charmed never jumped the shark. Its writing, directing and actor remained consistant and high-quality throughout its eight years. At times, the story lines may have underperformed, but after creating 178, one or two slip-up episodes are to be expected. It has, in its history, broken ratings records and, by its final season, became the longest running series with all female leads - a brilliant achievement for a long-lasting show with a devote cult following.
I really loved the show!!! I don't think it JTS. There was only one storyline i didn't like and that was when the sisters got false identities, that was a bit silly. Still overall the show was FAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The show was ruined when Shannen Doherty left.
The show jumped when that billie girl came on board OMG! One of my favorite shows became a bore I couldn't watch anymore until this day I don't think I even remember if I ever saw the last episode. Kaley cocoo( however you spell it) she ruined it for me. I don't know whose brilliant idea it was to bring her on but thanks for making the last season crappy.
"Charmed" sort of jumped when Cole got vanquished for the last time. The end of season four built up this great (albeit sad) momentum, it continued when he came back, but then wham, he died for the last time after Phoebe went totally out-of-character. Shark sighting number one.

But in my opinion, the show truly jumped when it became more about the demons and minor characters than Piper, Paige, and Phoebe. The sisters' bond with Prue was so strong because they were sisters first, and then witches, not the other way around. Somewhere around the time Chris got introduced, the show JTS. Too many guest stars, not enough sister time.
