For me, Clarissa was a great show NEVER JUMPED, please 2000`s teen series are crap. Nick from the past rules.
all seasons are cool, maybe the last season no much.

PD.Clarissa`s Mom was a hottie.
wow that guy is a perv!! anyways, though I have only seen the first season of Clarissa, I would like to see more!! It is entertaining and, I am alot like her! I really think that they should make a Nick Rewind channel and put it in the basic package for every provider so anyone can watch it! If they don't do that, they need to put seasons 2-5 out on DVD!
Along with the red power ranger, Sam was my first hot and heavy TV crush. MJH was so cool too. Remember when "outsiders" and unique kids were the focus of kids shows? Nowadays you have these perfectly trendly little 20somethings playing teenagers with hair extentions and fake tans. I feel sorry for kids these days, I really do.
The show tanked at the very end of the very last episode when Sam ascended the ladder with three hot chicks from college to meet Clarissa.
Clarissa was seriously one of the best shows I ever watched! It was a definite favorite of mine!
I'm not sure if I watched the entire show. If I didn't, I don't remember it ever jumping. It was light and innocent-- I think it remained true to itself, only I "grew up" into teenage-ness and had no taste for light or innocence. I think my puberty killed the show for me, but it never jumped.
I recently watched an episode of Clarissa and it was... charming.
Ah, for the good old days of Nickelodeon. Clarissa Explains It All was one of my fondest memoriess or early Nick. Admittedly, I was four at the time this show was on, but it was my first ever "favorite show" and although I suppose now thinking back it got a bit lame at the end, at the time I didn't notice. This was a great show. I still remember specific things 15 years later. For that, it did absolutely no shark jumping.
I LOVED this show, but I would have to say it got sharked up by puberty. By that I mean those of the cast members, as well as my own coming to a close as a young man. I was 16 when this show debuted, and I never missed it on Sunday night. I didn't see it to the end, as I was off to college in two years and couldn't be bothered to watch Nickelodeon. Now, at age 30, I found a DVD of Season 1 and bought it without a second thought. I watched a few shows and am still cracking up! A couple other posters mentioned this...I was touched at how Clarissa, and MJH as an actress, was so comfortable with the camera and spoke or made gestures as if talking to her best friend. I liked how she'd be eating dinner with the family, would turn and talk to the camera, then go right back to the conversation. (How come sometimes other characters would talk to the camera too, and other times not? Ehh. Reminds me of the movie Wayne's World when Ed O'Neill started talking to the camera.) I loved the on screen graphics, such as her "Breakfast Update" or when she lost TV and was staring at the place where it used to be, and we saw the imaginary TV just as she must have been. I didn't get why Sam had his own entrance theme and no other character did. *ladder click* Hi Sam. *TWAAA-AA-AANG* This show taught me the phrase "What's the 411?" I never forgot her friend Jody (in only 1 episode I think) telling Clarissa's mom that she was bummin', and her mom said "Why is she bummin'? For what reason is she bummin'?" I saw the dad on a Law & Order or CSI or something as a suspect in the last year, and right away thought Marshall Darling couldn't be the killer. BTW, I subsribed to Maxim for a while and almost fainted when I opened her pictorial. Still have it. I envied David Lascher for the number of programs he got to suck face with her on. Not just Sabrina, but some TV movie also. This guy ruined so many shows for me, including Blossom. Anyway, I wish kids of today still had shows this imaginative and clean.
When Ferguson turned from a geeky kid with a speech impediment to a creepy teen with a speech impediment it really ended it. The first couple of years were interesting with Clarissa as the antagonist of her evil younger brother but then when he got older it got weird. I also remember she would always put together a computer simulation or ***** game version of whatever plan she had to take down Ferguson and she would show it to Sam and the plan would be put into effect but then fall apart before it could be done. Plus the ***** games were pretty weak even for a 12 year old on her Commodore 64 or whatever she was running back then.
Totally never jumped. Clarissa rocked! I wanted a friend as cool as Sam, and I totally envied her room and clothes Great show, wish it were in reruns.
Well, they didn't DO IT, per se, but the Sam/Clarissa kiss spoiled a terrific teen friendship. I find it annoying that teens of the opposite sex can never be shown as "just friends" on television. Up until then, Clarissa had a great thing going. After that, it was never the same.
This show was so awesome! I remember watching this show all the time on the weekends. I loved how they showed that a guy and a girl could actually be friends. Janet Darling was sometimes annoying, but aren't all moms sometimes. I wish that this show was still on TV.
Clarissa explains it all was one of the best shows aired on Nick when that channel was actually FUN to watch. I admired everything that girl did. how she responds to social situations (i.e. her brother) to how she dressed. Even my mother approved of the show despite the whole latter thing. I thought that was cute and shows that platonic innocence can happen between two people. but I hardly doubt occurs in reality. Great show. never will forget it.
It never did. Clarissa was awesome with awesome clothes. The 35 year old needs some clothes (the freak.) I wouldn't have a problem with him having a crush on her but he needs to put some clothes on. The freaks that I share the world with.
I remember watching this show for the beautiful, sarcastic, quick charming Melissa Joan Hart. That and a chance to see a world through the eyes of such a unique person. I was in my late teens when I found the show, and I thought she was hot. The opening credits when she has on all those different outfits, whew.. SHE SIMPLE WAS A HEARTBREAKER TYPE. Resistance was futile. when me and my friends watched the show together (some were girls) The girls commented on how we were all love struck. Now to the 35 year old guy... We AGREE with you guy but man do you have say it all out like that =)
