Never Jumped
Day One
The final episode
Shark Bytes
It didn't. But why does no one really remember the last episode but me? Jack's character (wasn't his name Adam?) was linked to the other two kids where they entered a virtual reality world where years could go by in the matter of seconds, therefore allowing them to learn decades of information in a minute of real time. He and his gf never died, they just left it as a cliffhanger for the next season, which unfortunately was never made. Jack and the other two just basically passed out, and the gf was about to get shot by some dude, but all it ever showed was A gun firing. Not necessarily the gun that was pointed at her. I'm pretty sure it was Winston shooting the would be killer of the girl. I'm positive that had there been a second season it would have been revealed that Winston saved her, and eventually Jack would have came to.
one of the greatest yet underrated tv shows ever. i watched this show religiously every week. it was great. in the last episode they went to a government place to meet the legendary dr.victor hizenberg. but i think they found out he was dead. anyway they all ended up in a room mindlinked to each other in an experiment and something happened and either they all died or were just knocked out. never got to find out, mtv cancelled the show! i waited forever hoping it would come back on. and the bad guy was actually trying to help jack noseworthys character it was revealed at the end. on the last episode he snuck into the gov place following jack and his g/friend. and after the g/friend got shot and jack died (?) he was sneaking around that place maybe trying to get jack and his girlfriend out. such a shame its gone. a great show. the likes of which will prob never been seen again on mtv which sucks now btw. yet another tv network that has gone downhill (since 1998 IMO) like nickelodeon.
If people can remember the whole show it did get a little choppy at the end but that was just scheduling by mtv. As a whole the show was to be made in two seasons and showed beginning to end of the characters. They could have added that the government project was found out or given more of a story when they killed of the characters but it would have jumped the shark with that... It was a very interesting show and I am sure if I saw it today I would think it was cheesy but for what it was to a 14 yr old girl it was the tops!
This was a pretty cool show once you watched a couple of episodes. The shady agent guys name was actually Winston. I remember the last episode being so disappointing and It didn't really make sense. Pretty much, Ed died and the girl got shot and that was that. They should bring it back for a little while.
Dead at 21 was an intense show with a compelling science fiction storyline that was never even given the chance to jump the shark as the show was pulled from the air without even concluding, leaving fans like myself hanging. The show was wonderfully disturbing at times, with well-done hallucinatory sequences and images of a dark underground America, including a show on an animal rights group's attempt to release test animals. Music was used very well within the show; I recall the main riff from Sonic Youth's "Bull In The Heather" was used recurringly to great effect. I found the show intense and enjoyable, and wish it had been at least given enough airtime to complete the storyline. And to add a female perspective to the comments, I must say that Jack Noseworthy was hot as well.
The show as never canceled after 2 shows. What are you talking about? They showed the whole series on MTV. The way I remember the last two episodes was the bad agent dude...the guy you thought was bad. Was really trying to help Jack the whole time. I remember he died when he was 21 then somebody (not sure if it was the agent or not) shot the girl. A really sad ending dammit. And I loved this show. Hehe.
I liked this show, even though it had a whacky premise. I think the girl (Doogie Howser's girlfriend) was hot. Does anyone know if they finally concluded the show and he died at 21 or if it was canceled?
Maybe not a "good" show, but super addictive. I couldn't wait for each new episode of this show just to see what was going to happen. The first season cliffhanger (which ended up being the final episode of the show when MTV didn't renew it) was AMAZING, and it still pops up in my head every once in a while. Damn I wish they'd finished the story!
I remember watching this show just to see what was going to happen every week. Not that the show was good, but I was intrigued by it nonetheless. Does anyone know what happened towards the end of the show? Did that guy finally reach 21 and drop dead? By the way, the chick on the show was hot. Does anyone remember as Doogie Howser's girlfriend?
This show was on a few years ago on MTV. A pretty cool concept, little kid gets implanted by shadow govt. agency, becomes super smart, but the side effect is you die when you turn 21. Starring Jack Noseworthy (d'ya think that's his real name?) and Whip(!) Hubley as the greasy govt. agent, this show was so disjointed, quirky and asinine that I wished I was DEAD AT 21. A true piece of crap.
