Fred is totally right. The "Twisters Hit Camden" episode was the dumbest show yet. The humor was so forced, and the characters were made to abandon their normal behaviors and motivations. Hey guys! If you can't think of any more ideas, end the show. Youre killing us longtime fans with these idiotic storylines.

And don't even get me started about the stupid "Open Hearts" Jane Seymour tie in.

This past week's episode where the hometown was hit by 4-5 tornadoes and the whole community practiced "finders keepers" is the point where the original fun of the show got blown away. Definitely jumped the shark.

I love how the writers can't seem to quite make up their minds as to how slow/dumb/retarded/illiterate Randy is supposed to be. Randy apparently goes from barely being able to utter a coherent sentence to somehow being mentally, emotionally and physically competent enough to become a prison guard??!! Give me a break...

The most compelling product-placement TV show of all time! "Ah want that there Jane Seymour Open Hearts Pendant..." That says it all, with the show already set to jump Bruce swimming in the lake.

when i first saw the first "COPS" episode i thought "uh oh.. they're starting to focus off this whole list plotline" but i still kept watching.

when he went to prison i thought it was different, but i didnt mind it. now i see earl's in a coma.... i'm really trying to stay with it, but it's becoming really hard to watch a full episode

Earl's coma was the beginning of the jump. This whole season 4 has really been weak. The writing has deteriorated to a ghost of what it was in the first and second seasons.

"Earl" has become a parody of itself. Watching this show is a long 30 minutes now.

I loved the first and second seasons of this show but after watching the first disc of season 3, I am fearing the worst. The show, while still funny, has strayed from what made me like it. I mostly love the episodes with Earl checking things off the list. But now he is in prison and I just watched an episode about writing. Yeah, it was kinda funny, but it wasn't Earl. They should have ended the series after the second.

Yeah I loved this show at first, thought it was funny and different. Really loved Joy and Crabman. But they lost me after he went to prison. I watched one more when he was in a coma and now I don't even waste my time. They let this show go to crap majorly. In the words of the Dixie Chicks...Goodbye Earl!

Crabman needs his own show.

Earl sucks. Randy sucks. Catalina sucks. Been there done Joy a million times. I finally realized this show jumped after season one. I tried to stick it out because it was on before the Office (which sucks all on it's own now), but this season I've admitted to myself that yes, it really isn't funny anymore nor will it ever be funny again.

Earl actually lost me to reruns of the Jefferson. I like to think of it as karma telling the writers that they are no longer funny & should probably let the next generation of shows happen instead of pounding this one to it's bloody grave.

Ok, so, I just watched the season premier on 8/25. I don't really want to give up on this show but the 2 episodes were worse than any episode from last season and that was a real bad season over all. OMG what happened? New writers? This show has turned to total crap. Both of the episodes were just painfull to watch. My Name Is Earl RIP.

To hate this show because the two stars are scientologists and because another person who jumped on a couch is also a scientologist is beyond stupid. This is logical thinking to you? You are the reason good shows get taken off while leaving stupid shows on.

For me, the show jumped when I learned that both Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee are Scientologists.

Irrelevant to the show, I know, but I have trouble watching My Name is Earl now. I keep picturing Tom Cruise jumping around on the couch in Earl and Randy's motel room...a troubling, ugly image for a freakin' comedy.

I blame the writer's strike for the crappy third season. lots of shows suffered for it. I just hope that the next season will go back to the first season format.

There was a music episode. It was while earl was in prison. It was unwatchable. I turned it off after 5 minutes. The coma eps were terrible. Hope it gets back on track next season.
