When every answer involved bathroom humor of some kind. Seriously, some of us are trying to eat while watching this show! I guess the housewives and such find it funny though.
Feud JTS when then host Dawson kissed my wife and gave her an STD. Our family won about three grand but the missus got an infection that took 2 months to clear up!
Cuddles, you are exactly right. It amazes me that people can't figure out that it's a good idea to pass when there are a lot of answers. As for JTS, Louie Anderson was a joke. The first time I saw him, I was in disbelief anyone would hire that buffoon for any acting job. John O'Hurley has one of those innately boring voices (reminds me of Adam Thicke), and I can't stand to listen to him for 5 minutes.
RICHARD DAWSON: Besides toothpaste, name something you buy in paste form...

BUZZER SOUNDS

RICHARD: Homer?

HOMER SIMPSON: Mmmmm...beer...

RICHARD (while laughing): Show me the dreaded beer paste!

STRIKE BUZZER

---------------------------------------

RICHARD: Besides cutting wood, name something you do in shop class...

BUZZER

RICHARD: Homer?

HOMER SIMPSON: Drink beer...

RICHARD (laughing again): My favorite pasttime...show me drinking beer!

STRIKE BUZZER

RICHARD: Barney...same question...besides cutting wood, name something you do in shop class...

BARNEY: Smoke cigarettes...

RICHARD (laughing again): How about a smoke with that beer?

STRIKE BUZZER

RICHARD: Okay, it's back to the Simpson family...Bart, name something you do in shop class besides cutting wood...

BART: Cut the cheese!

RICHARD (now in hysteria): How about some cheese with that beer and cigarette?

STRIKE BUZZER
Hey anyone here remember the funny episode during the Ray Combs hosting era when the first of the two family members participating in fast money got the 200 points that was needed to win the money, and so Ray gave the other family member joke questions to fill the time?
The old set was classic, the old music was classic. And of course there was Richard Dawson, smooching all the ladies. Didn't matter how old or how young - on one of the FF DVD compilations, they had the casts of TV shows pitted against each other, and ol' Richard locked lips with then-11 year old Quinn Cummings of "Family".
But as far as classics go, you can't beat the old Feud. Just because a traditional gameboard can be updated with new graphics, and classic theme music can be replaced, doesn't mean it should be.
While O'Hurley is an improvement...

WTF is with those signs in the audience? Please... Leave them in the WWE where they belong. Those things are so stupid. NOBODY in their right mind believes those were made by the people holding them.
Family Feud just jumped again. During today's fast money, a contestant passed on a very wordy question. When they came back to it, she said her answer while John was reading the question because she knew the buzzer was about to sound. The judge must have not heard it because they skipped over the question while revealing the answers on the big board. The second contestant gave a very good answer for the second question; he said "Donald Duck" for "Name a famous Don or Donald." However, he did not get any points for it. For the main game, they say 100 people were surveyed, but all the time, it doesn't look like every person answered that question. Earlier that episode during the Double Round, only 48 people responded to that question. They should have at least 90 points on that board every time. Fast Money has also become much harder because sometimes, number one answers are worth less than 25 points. They should tone down on the "On a Scale of One to Ten" questions because they are the most difficult to figure out. Other than that, this is still a good game show to stay alive in syndication.
Family Feud is a classic. The hosts Richard Dawson and Ray Combs will NEVER be touched by their Three Successors. Anderson was annoying, Karn was boring (Unlike his Home Improvement Days) and poor John O'Hurley is doing good, but not as well as Dawson and Combs.

Burton Richardson is a good announcer but Gene Wood fits the best for Family Feud.

The classic set is brillant, and so is the logo. The show jumped when the classic theme THE FEUD was replaced with Techno Crap. Which I like techno, but I HATE the theme.

John's doing a great job so far, just bring a better mastered version of THE FEUD, bring back the old set, and we are good. :)
I agree with the poster who said the set is too busy. I wish the classic set of the 70's and 80's was still in tact. It was simple, fewer distractions, no fancy graphics, and a little bit bigger.
Let me see...if I choose to "pass," the other team has to come up with ALL the other answers on the board (sometimes as many as 8 or 9), and if they can't get EVERY SINGLE ONE, then my team gets the chance to steal the entire jackpot by coming up with ONE answer that we even get to discuss beforehand!

OR...if I choose to "play," then MY team has to come up with all the other answers on the board, leaving the field wide open for the other team to steal the jackpot with just one answer.

"We're gonna PLAY, Richard!"

This happened EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Family Feud, and that's why this show NEVER STOPPED JUMPING THE SHARK.
The new set on the current show just makes me dizzy. It's too busy with colors and graphics everywhere you look. Too much going on with the audience all the way around the set holding up signs and waving. It distracts from the game which makes it unwatchable. I'll take a simple, bland 1970's set to this.
The show has improved slightly since John O' Hurley took over the hosting duties. He tells much better jokes than Richard Karn could and he actually has fun with the families. What the show needs to do is tone down all the screaming/clapping everytime someone gives an answer. It gets tiresome after a while and they need to pick the pace of the game up. I never watched the Louie Anderson version but from what I've heard it was awful. It hasn't jumped the shark yet, but they should follow the format used early on in the Ray Combs era aka late 1980's.
Nowadays, for every episode, it's White Family Vs. Black Family. If you want to be a little more diverse, try to include other people on the show. Peace.
Name the worst game show ever produced.
Family Feud.
Good answer.
