This wasn't a bad show, so it never really jumped, but it was a victim of amazingly boneheaded scheduling. It's a show about a high school football coach in a small town, and NBC premieres it in the fall, on Friday nights, at a time when anyone interested in the premise would have been, gee, I don't know...WATCHING HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL?
I'm not sure what the other post are talking about. This was a great show about small town football and all the politics involved. It was doomed to a bad time slot and cancelled before it ever had a chance.
Okay, so humans can't mate with chimpanzees, with whom we share 99% of our DNA, but they CAN mate with evil alien reptiles from another planet. Gotcha. Show went from campy fun to ridiculous.
It looked like DOOM the moment it went on the air... not that it was a horrible show, it was just something nobody wanted to see. Ben Affleck should be happy they canned this, it would have subsided his current film career!
