In all my life, I have never heard of Doctors breaking into patients homes to find chemicals, etc. I deal with elderly and sick people by the hundreds, Ive talked with them about their medical problems, and not one in 14 years has ever said, "Ya know, these doctors and surgeons broke into my house to find the reason I reacted badly to something". These Doctors go to college, then 4 years of medical school, then residency. Thats like 10 years of schooling to break into homes? And never once does a neighbor think its odd that 2 people are entering a widows home and call the cops? That concept is preposterous and insulting. Also, why to they bother with the first half hour? All it is, is 4 doctors guessing every wrong possibility for 20 minutes. House is like an NBA game, all you need to do is tune in the last 5 minutes for the good part.
House jumped as soon as he gave the gun back to the hostage taker. I know House is House, but even that was totally stupid for his standards. I can't take the show too seriously after that moment.

That was almost as bad as Cameron reviving the guy who was afraid to leave his house. It seems as though the writers are making the characters do stupid things just to emphasize their character traits.
The water-ski's are out, the boat's fueled and ready to go, the shark is in the tank...if House and Cuddy make your "They Did It" list, then House has officially jumped the shark.
I agree, 13 is a BORE! More WILSON. Even more Taub and Kutner...they are cool. But really, more Wilson and House interaction. It's the best part of the show.
Stop your whining about liberals. This is a board about House. Not a forum for your political bigotry and small minded hatefulness.
The show has been flirting with the ramp for some time now. Overall, it is not as enjoyable to watch as it once was. House himself is not as funny and clever as he used to be, just a little bitter and resentful. This week's episode, with the gun-wielding patient, at least added some drama and intrigue to the mix, even if it did stretch the bounds of reality quite a bit. One thing I noted in this episode was two "drive-by" political attacks which often seep into Hollwyood productions, including a crack about Florida not counting to the Supreme Court. Give me a break; when will the 2000 election end. (For the record, the U.S. Supreme Court back then was the only entity that actually showed respect for the voters of Florida. The liberal-dominated Florida Supreme Court was breaking Florida law in allowing recounts after the certifiation date and it showed true partisanship by refusing to enact standards for recounting the ballots, which is a slap in the face of Florida voters. Also, for the record, subsequent recounts sponsored by news organizations showed Al Gore actually lost ground to Bush in the counties he was contesting. Whether you like Bush or not is meaningless; he legitimately won Florida and the left, including Hollywood, needs to let it go.) Shows which become more overtly political are pretty much ready to jump.
Thirteen is not nearly as fascinating as the writers seem to think she is. It wouldn't be such a big deal if she wasn't taking up more airtime than all the other secondary characters combined.
I don't think the show has jumped just yet, though it may be getting close. I liked the change of characters, especially since they didn't totally phase Foreman, Chase, and Cameron out.

One thing, however, that would cause an insta-jump is House and Cuddy getting together. This must be avoided at all costs, as it will ruin the show. I think the writers are smart enough to know this, so I don't see it as an immediate threat. I like how they've sorta been dancing around it for the past few episodes, but it needs to stop and soon.

Otherwise, I don't really have any complaints.
Whenever a patient or his/her family member shows up with a gun - the show has just jumped the shark.
I find the storylines much the same now...cuddy:"House you suck and you're wrong" intern1:"House you don't know what you're talking about" intern2:"No house your diagnostic is wrong and you're crazy" for 40 minutes and then we find that house is correct and all of them are morons.

btw in which episode house treats a hermaphrodite?
Because there's no such thing as a gay doctor, right?
Anytime a gay/lesbian character is introduced into the scenario, I quit watching. I'm sick and tired of the force feeding of the populace by the Hollywood mentality of the lifestyle they find so appealing.
House has never jumped. Yes some story lines aren't always the most popular (too much 13 anyone?) but even at its worst this is the best show on TV today!
For Bill,
I'm not an anthropologist, just a thinker and a woman. You asked why women would find a character like House sexy. In my opinion, bad boys, if they like you, would protect you. You can't get all tingly for a wimp and I think it's the same thing. On a very deep bio level you want somebody with power who will protect your child and provide for it and yourself against a mean old world (remember, I'm talking deep-seated biology here). Same thing with rich men. People think that women are only in it for what they can buy, and no doubt in modernity some must be, but I think it goes deeper. A rich man obviously has power and the means to care for the next generation. Biology explains why men are so drawn to youth and beauty while women are drawn to experience and power. The female youth and beauty indicate fertility and probable lack of genetic disease and, again, male power would provide protection for the next generation. We can say what we want about equal opportunities NOW, but way back when it was dog eat dog and if you wanted your genes to survive, you needed to pick well.

Also, the scruffy beard probably has a testosterone indicator element for us ladies.
House almost jumped but was saved by 13's lesbianism.
If they start with that every episode then I'll watch it forever.
