I am such a huge D'onofrio fan he is by far one of the sexiest men on T.V.
(smart is sexy!) Why hasn't he won an Emmy??!! as for the liberal bias of the show, it is on NBC. They just can't help themselves. Has the show jumped the shark? probably when they killed off Nicole Wallace.

I cannot stand that freckle-faced tomboy whose name I can't even remember. She is hideous to look at and can't act at all. Alicia Witt was much better. What is up with Freckles leaving then coming back?

I think since C.I. went to USA, it has a cheaper feel to it. The writing isn't as good. They try to get more shock value from the characters. Anyway, it is still entertaining and hasn't JTS.

I love the shark doody comment, and yes Erbe could not get fat. Last season ended with Bobby free of the
barfacious Nicole, hey fat or thin again the Man is an acting God and I'm
concerned with his real life health, ciggies threaten that more than weight fluxes, I think Jeff Goldblum will add the right smarmy touch and give some reptilian yin to D'onofrio's brilliant good guy yang. I'd look at his yang any time...most women would. VDO rulz!

Whatever they did to this website, they need to undo it. It is way too slow and they are going to lose all their visitors if they don't fix it fast. Oh wow!!!! Jumptheshark jumped the shark!!!!!!

Cop show, medical show and lawyer show formulas can never really grow old. Since D'Onofrio "ballooned" the show has gotten grittier. I love it and Goldblum will be a nice change. Just remains to sya had Erbe gotten that much more "corpulent", she'd be fired.

The formula just got old.

Never could figure out why they didn't bring Noth back to the original Law & Order. They have had lots of opportunities. Bad boy comes back? It would work.

I agree BobbyG. Why did Noth leave? I hope Wheeler will stay on with Goldblum. I like her a lot and she did just return. The Goren/Eames team is a bit of a mess. Why is he turning into some Santa Clause-like, dazed creature walking around as only an undercover detective would be allowed to? He is in my opinion still overdue for an Emmy while Erbe is too flat and constantly sarcastic and cold to merit one. Still, this part of the franchise is where the interest lies. SVU has become too routine and the parent show too dull, dusty and tiresome in its constant spinning rotunda of partnered detectives and tired veterans. I wish Noth would reprise the old show Mannix. How would that be?

The last Chris Noth/Mike Logan L&O CI show just finished and it was pretty good for a season ender. As I posted a few weeks ago, I have enjoyed how the writers are portraying Logan as a great detective but increasingly aware of his own loneliness. This show brought that issue to the forefront. It also sets Wheeler up for the new season in a traditional cliffhanger storyline.

All-in-all this show continues to dodge the shark jump... although I am still concerned about the direction of the Eames/Bobby story arc.
