I just discovered this show and it is wonderful! They've never Jumped...imho. ;). I hope that it continues on for at least another season - more would be great, but I'm realistic.:P. Great show, needs more viewers. ;). Rock on, SN!!
One of the best shows of all time. I hope it continues for at least another 5 years. Absolutly never jumped with no jump in sight.
I am an old lady, have just recently discovered this show and LOVE IT!
It was SUPPOSED to be "overly ridiculous"!

Agreed. It was hilarious!
Come on guys, the Eye of the Tiger was an outtake. It was SUPPOSED to be "overly ridiculous"! You could hear the crew laughing in the background!
The actor that plays Dean and his lip syncing to Eyes of the Tiger after being overly ridiculous in the episode Yellow Fever had me questioning the sanity of the producer.

The girly scream with the absolutely moronic grin afterward, the over-acted drunkenness at the Sheriff's and all his facial acting made my stomach turn.

Was that supposed to be funny? I understand that girls love the boys' pretty face but damned, the blond short one (Ackles?) or whatever, is atrocious in his over the top acting. With all the shout outs this show has been getting lately, I thought I'd watch it.

I want those 45 minutes back dammit!
Great show. Never jumped. It is entertaining to see a show do the "fun" episodes where you can tell everyone on the cast is just looking to have a good time. I, unlike some of the other posts, loved the "eye of the tiger," routine to end the last episode. It shows just how much fun they have while shooting the show.
Monster Movie - in an otherwise cute episode there were two annoying missteps by Dean, made almost back-to-back in the opening bar scene: "I'm a Maverick with a badge. <wink>" Lame satirical play on the McCain/Palin campaign. "Seriously Sam, I've been re-hymenated!" Weak attempt to appeal to the tween set and salacious adults simultaneously. What, now we're all supposed to fantasize we can be his born-again first lay? Ever since Dean was resurrected they've been vague on how to treat his character. It feels like a bunch of evangelical Christians have taken over the scriptwriting.

But the end of Yellow Fever when Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) sings "Eye of the Tiger" - retch! Come on, we all know he's the premier star but they're over saturating him. Balancing him out made us happy when he appeared on the screen - he's quickly getting tiresome. No offense to Ackles; blame it on the producers, director and editor.
It hasn't jumped yet. I was getting worried it would take the "Angel" route and go from handling different stories to everything revolving around one "Lord High Bogeyman" - who they would spend the rest of the series trying to destroy and fail each time.

I hate when that happens.
Supernatural has not jumped yet. Season 4 is kicking some serious ass with not a single bad episode yet. The only thing that slightly drags it down is the new Ruby's abysmal performance.Good thing she's only signed on for 2 more episodes until she dies or gets a new body. But other than that, this season has been freaking amazing.
I thought it was going to jump after the Hell business at the end of season three, but somehow this show bounced back and continues to get better every year. The ongoing storyline seems to get tighter and more involved every year and it seems as if the creators have clear plans for this story. The new elements introduced this season make logical sense and drives this story forward. This show is better than Fringe or any of the other 'hot' shows on TV and you are a fool if you're not watching it.
Miss the old Ruby, didn't like the new Ruby at first but after seeing how cute she is when she was scared of the angel made me change my mind and hope they show more of her but have to say this show even though I'm a big fan of and still am has been been taking baby steps towards a jump ever since s3 when though big brother Dean started getting all emotional about how scared he was it started to suck, liked his character better when he pretended to not give a crap and there are other reasons eg.wasn't as scary anymore but have to say the whole storyline about the angel saviour will jump if Dean doesn't get or have some kind of special ability/power from the angel or god.
Supernatural never jumped and season 4 looks like its going to be awesome!

Originally, I didn't like the whole 'God and angels' thing being introduced into the show, but after last week's episode, I'm totally pysched.

Can't wait for Thursday!
Jumped in the season 2 premiere. The first season was (a) scary, (b) deeply ingrained in American folklore, and (c) driven by a realistic relationship between two brothers. Starting in season 2, the mopey "I love you man" storylines every. damn. week. completely ruined a good thing. Their dialog is, almost uniformly, the dialog that 2 sisters would have these days.
For me the show jumped the shark when Bobby didn't kill Ruby, instead choosing to get in his car and go for a drive with her.

I suspect that means it really jumped when Dean didn't kill the bitch, or before that, when Sam didn't kill the bitch.

It could have been when Kripke & Co. introduced the new female roles at the TCAs. I knew season three would suck.

Now that I think about it, the show really jumped the shark in episode one of season two - introducing Jo, and then failing to take the hint. 3 seasons now they've tried to add female characters needlessly.

Kripke totally went of plan (if there ever was one) and the whole "yes virginia, there is a santa claus" thing they're doing with Dean and God? Ugh.

If I wanted a lecture on religion, I'd watch 100 Huntley or 700 club.
