too preachy!
Hi

Bye
Really...
It's a very nice show that teaches good morals, and I went to a Christan school, and we had a LAZY fourth grade teacher, so everyday after lunch, she would turn the TV onto Book of Virtues and we would learn morals.
Quite frankly, it never jumped.
It was a show for kids that taught them to be GOOD.
The only way to have made it better was to randomly give people Charlie Chaplin mustaches.
Yes.
How sad that people can become so hateful and ugly about trying to teach children good virtues. I guess these must be the same people who are encouraging kids to have sex so they can end up having STDs, being pregnant teens and/or committing abortion, etc. My son was actually assigned a book in elementary school that normalized/justified fraud against our nation, kids in brothels, opium use, etc. The principal tried to justify the assignment by stating that parents demand this type of book...WHAT FOR?!...so their own horrible behavior seems normal? What has our citizenry come to?
You couldn't convince me that the above mentioned type of mind-trash is better than The Adventures From the Book of Virtues for the development of happy well adjusted person.
I loved the show the buffalo the most. Did you notice that the ads at the end resembled the boy and the girl?
DAY ONE.
I really miss this show. I watched it as a kid, and loved all the stories which it used in order to convey the message or "virtue". Kids need to learn good morals and probably the best way to do that is through stories. And this show not only told the "overused but effective" stories, but also included ones from different cultures.
This show was amazing! I really dont see how anyone can seriously put Adventures of Virtues down, it was probably one of the best shows for kids, I mean, HELLO? are Teletubbies and The Wiggles really better than this? It's a KIDS show.
My three year old loved this show and we watched it everynight with him as a family. His beloved grandmother died and the show helped him cope with his bad dreams. He remembered St. George the dragon slayer and told me George came into his dream and protected him. Mostly, he LOVED the sappy music and still sings the "knight" song. I appreciated the differnt cultural stories, as I was raised a Buddhist. I never felt harrassed with Christian ideology from this series like I do with Veggie Tales.
I didn't like this show at first, but it really grew on me, and I actually miss it now that it's not shown anymore! Some of the episodes were really great and taught valuable lessons, like the one about the boy who wished his life away, using a magic string that he pulled every time he wanted to advance his life to some point in the future. Before he knew it, his whole life was gone! We could all learn some lessons from this show.
This show JTS when it was revealed that the self righteous rightwinger creator (wrote the Book of Virtues) gambled 8 million dollars away. What a hypocrite.
This piece of dreck jumped the shark when I accidentally saw an episode on PBS. I couldn't believe how godawful it was. Two kids that make every character Betty White ever played seem like a "Millionaire" grand prize winner, talking animals named after Greek philosophers, and crappy animation make this one show that would make you blow your head off than a Celine Dion album. I'm surprised this **** isn't on the lousy Christian networks. What the hell were the creators smoking when they came up with this cow dung?
I know the show tried, but not every problem in life can be solved with three stories and bad music in the end. You gotta give kids some credit that they don't need morality shoved down their throats.
Simplistic enough to insult the intelligence of a box of rocks. Should never have been thought of. Never been made and never seen. I'm glad they came to their senses after one season and got rid of it.
This show never jumped the shark. I'm sorry it is gone. It sounds like the previous poster is just a tad insecure in his/her own morality. Must be a liberal! He probably never read the book either!
