Meave and Sinbad were great together and had s much more chemistry than Bryn and Sinbad, so why couldn't the creaters of the adventures of Sinbad see that. Meave and Sinbad were meant to be together, and when she left for me there wasn't much point watching the second season.
I don't care what everybody says, this show was amazing, Sinbad was so hot! And it was THE adventure show!!!! Of course I was sad when Maeve left, but Bryn was a great girl. And all those things about Sinbad and Maeve being soulmates is sooooo stupid cause people move on!!!! That happened on the show, they left Maeve behind, they moved on. What the hell were they supposed to do? cry the entire second season because of Maeve? turn Sinbad's character into a sad alcoholic because of Maeve? NO!!!!! I know the storyline was changed but the show was still great!!!!
Ha! The only Sinbad show I liked were those early to middle nine-teen-sixties animated television programs with the teenage-Sinbad Jr. and his parrot Salty, (Dallas McKennon, then Tim Matheson as Sinbad and Dalllas McK.and Mel Blanc as Salty), with McKennon, Blanc, Janet Waldo, and Hal Smith. Produced (the all-Dallas McKennon version) by Sam Singer in 1960. Mel Blanc-Tim Matheson-etc. version by Hanna Barbera in 1966.
The show was over for me after Maeve left. There was just no continuity with plot. The worst part was the change in Sinbad's character. I can't understand how a brilliant man like Ed Naha could conceive that Sinbad and Maeve's characters were not meant to be. If you create a character, no matter how evil that character is, you'll love that character forever. It was very obvious to the viewers that Maeve was Sinbad's true love. If the viewers could see this, why not the "GREAT" creator himself?
The show wasn't really great from the very beginning...."Maeve" was a really bad actress, Sindbad barely tolerable (at last he looked nice) and the stories full of action and without any deep meaning. The only reason it didn't jump immedeatly were the actors of the crew and first und foremost Rumina. But when in the second season Rumina was gone, the whole Dermot-Plot was discardet and Zen Gessner was wearing this really ugly leather trousers it jumped right over the ocean.
I agree, the second season sucked, because Rumina (my main favorite Sinbad character) and Maeve never showed up ever again, and Sinbad went from a selfless kind hero, to a bloodthirsty pirate. Not to mention, Bryn is a good character and all, but she is not that great as either Maeve or Rumina (both of them are irreplacable.)

So yes, without Maeve and Rumina's prescence in the second season, and the sudden change of Sinbad's role, I dislike the second season, and the first season will always be the best.
Maeve falls overboard and is replaced in Sinbad's heart by Bryn and a host of guest star wenches. (Okay, this show's a bit obscure, but it did totally break my heart).
As usual when a show jumps with me, it does a double jump. The show was ruined when Maeve was written off. I understand it's not the crew's fault that the actress left, but they should have recast the character. Maeve had too many continuing story threads wrapped around her--her feud with Rumina, her brother being a hawk, and most importantly, her romantic tension with Sinbad. But they just dump her character overboard, replace her with new gal Bryn, and expect us to be happy about romantic tension between Bryn and Sinbad. The second way the show jumped was changing Sinbad from an innocent hero to a scruffy guy with a girl in every port. Rubbing salt in the wound...
This show jumped right after the first season was finished, the scene changed Sinbad became a rough tough pirate life size jerk killing anything that got in his way and the whole first season storyline just disappeared into thin air! and as for the second season plot...was that even the same show??...I prefer to think of the second season as the adventures of the dark and utterly pointless" and Bryn! while Mariah Shirley played her well the character was WWWWAAAYYY to cliche! Me and my friends come up with better plots than that! and I'm only 14!!! They could have done anything they wanted with the show but they screwed it up royally!
When Maeve left the show at the end of Season 1 and was replaced by Bryn, the show was over for me. That and Rumina never came back. They both added spice and energy to the show that left with them.
When they started using the computer-generated monsters
This show was an interesting little misfire, Sinbad starred as foster father to two kids (one of them played by Brandy's little brother Ray J) He had a the patented wacky next door neighbor (played by T.K. Carter) And Salma Hayak played a love interest, what could be said about a show that stars sinBAD, the most horrible actor alive
this show has yet to jump da shark. sure, I'll admit it's had its weak points, but even so, you don't get much better live action TV, let alone animated.
It never jumped and never will! This show kicks ASS!
This show jumped the shark when Maeve was taken away at the end of the first season and Bryn joined the crew at the beginning of the second season. If Jaqueline Collin (Maeve) had stayed, the show probably would have gone onto many more seasons.
