This show was so scripted. There is no such thing as a completely unscripted reality t.v. show anymore. I watched two episodes of this and it was so obvious that he had a prior relationship with the Amanda chick (in her 20s). When he went on a date with one of the other ladies, in line with the premise of the show, she decided he was gone too long and went looking for him. Please! And we are lead to believe she had only known him a couple of weeks or so. So how does that work? You sign up to be on this show to date this stranger along with a bunch of other women and when he goes out with the others, you get jealous and go hunt him down. Yeah that sounds natural. Also, there were no clear details about her prior life or experiences. Every time the camera was on her she was obsessing over the dude and talking about her love for him. But actually this is a good way for a couple to make some money and I'm sure this guy needed a little extra given his defunct tennis career. Not unusual for hustlers to hustle. I just checked the website to see the outcome and of course he picked Amanda, the one he was already dating when he got the script for the show. His amateur acting and the few clueless women thrown in couldn't mask that.
"Age of EWWW"is more like it.A bunch of desperate, unrefined sluts pining after this schmeary guy.Ugh!How long will the "winner"and he stay together if at all?Fake farce like "Who Wants to Marry my Dad".The guy was just an actor and never stayed with the lucky winner.Junk!
Sherlock: did the girlfriend make you watch- at gunpoint? If so, I commiserate. Can't wait for obligatory Girls of: "Age of Love"- Playboy edition. It's inevitable....as for the show, just more "junk-food TV".
My girlfriend made me watch this show one night, and I suggested that they should let Mark pick three. One to have sex with, one to talk to and one to cook for him. That went over like a lead balloon. I don't know who is stupider, Mark Phillipoussis, the young bimbos or the shallow old ladies.
Conan O'Brien did a parody on his show in which the premise of the show was to pick the 40 year old or two 18 year olds. Which one did you think Max Weinberg picked when it came down the final contestants? It's like that on this swow
I'm a big fan of Mark Philippoussis. I thought he did a great job last night. He seemed sincere, yet shocked at the fact that all the women were around 40 yrs old. I also thought he was quite respectful in the elimination part of the show. Like this year's Bachelor, Mark comes across as a gentleman and not a frat boy. I like the show.
The show is NOT sincere, is why it's NOT to be trusted. These could all be actresses. It could be scripted. The picked woman (the couple, really that is) could decide that they're NOT going to stay together after all. The main point of "reality" shows like this is to make money for their networks.
It will suck,no viewing is needed.I am 41,look and feel 25 in ALL HONESTY and just know these little "no one in the world will ever turn 30 a la Logan's Run"bimbos(Logan'sRun was a Sci-Fi movie and series in the 70's for you 20 somethings where you were eliminated upon turning 30...)will act with any dignity whatsoever and pretend to know everything via Oprahesque psychobabble. You have to be 40 plus to know how good life can be when you're old enough to have a real clue.I would not want a 30 year old.Give me 45 and older anytime!
