Loved the show. Never realized at the time that Malcolm Gets was gay, he certainly proved himself during those kissy scenes with Caroline!

I would have liked that show to have a better ending... like the two of them getting married!
Wish this show was still on!!!!!
I love richard.!!! del is cute 2, but richard is my favorite. annie is a lot like richard, i wonder how that would have been if they had hooked up instead. but i like that richard ended up with caroline, they're so cute 2gether. Richard was a great part of the show, i don't care what u have 2 say about him. and, if he is gay, what does it matter if he dated a girl on tv? it's just a show. there is nothing wrong with being gay. if that's how u feel about richard, then how do u feel about ellen degeneres, one of the funniest ladies on television?
the guy who played Richard is gay?! no way! he's so hot, and i love his sarcasm, he's a lot like becker. but he's so cute. richard is my FAVORITE character, and together the cast worked. I don't think the show should've been cancelled, but i enjoy the reruns because then i can c my sweetie. i wish he was in more shows, he's just so darn cute!!! beautiful hair! i love u, richard!!!
I would have to agree with the last two posters that Lea Thompson was "really" hot! I am also willing to say that Amy Pietz is not far behind. Incidentially, Amy happens to be the same number os "days" old as I am! In any event, those of you who like this show in general and Lea Thompson in particular might want to look at a site called "The 90 Faces of Lea Thompson". I am the most recent person to sign the guest book and post on the message board. Before the night is over, I plan on going over to "Sitcoms Online" and telling the fans there about my posts in these other places. Take care everyone!
I only watched because of the two hotties, Leah Thompson and her neighbor. It would have been more interesting if most of the scenes weren't with Caroline and her completely unlikeable co-worker. Were we supposed to believe there was some sexual tension between them? The guy could NOT have been more gay!
The only reason I didn't change the channel after Seinfeld was over is because I thought Leah Thompson was damn cute. That said. No laughs = day one jump.
By the pen name of the last poster, I am guessing that it is a female. This being the case, I have "no" problem with this person having an "entirely" different outlook than a man like myself! My all time "favorite" episode took place in the fourth season! To make a long story short, the thing about this episode that I liked the most was a dance step done by Caroline in which she jiggled her firm sexy butt. Wow! Anyone who would like to know in more detail about my love of that episode can go to the "Caroline in the City" page of "Sitcoms Online". On this site, there are a couple of posts by an English woman who also has a point of view that is "very" different than mine!
I loved the show, it was my favorite show ever. Up until the 4th season that is. That is when the show -in my view- jumped the shark.

There were just too many changes at once in the last season. Not only had all the characters changed their appearance, they suddenly moved to an office, Richard and Caroline got together and they introduced a whole bunch of new characters. It was like they knew the show was going under and they pulled out every possible idea to save it.

I just wish they hadn't done it all at once...
I am "really" starting to get frustrated about my messages disappearing on various pages of this site! If you go the to "Will and Grace" page, you will see a post by someone who has had the same issue. One possibility is that it is simply that this is a new format and all of the bugs are not out of it yet. On top of this, there is the fact that, in my last post on this page, I mentioned the sexiness of Caroline's butt. It is possible that the webmaster has Christian or other religious values and considers why I wrote to be crude or vulger. One last chance is that this site is run by a feminist who thinks that what I wrote was sexist and took it down for that reason. After I post this message, I will post on other sites in which my last message disappeared. Afterwards, I will come back and see if this one is still up!
i think it was oKK but Not great!!!
I dont get all the comments re: the "obviously gay" actor. I had no clue Malcolm Gets was gay and found the Richard character believably straight. I just thought he was highly sarcastic and angst-ridden artist. Those two things don't scream "gay" do they. However, I do agree with the people who question Richard's attraction to Caroline since they seemed to be at either sides of the personality spectrum. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed seeing them together on screen. I think the show JTS when they stopped working out of Caroline's loft (that was a big part of the show's appeal/warmth).
When Mr. Closet Homosexual hooked up with Caroline.

Ridiculous.

Who would want to be with some neurotic, chronically depressed gay guy?
definately when caroline and richard hooked up. I thought the show was pretty cute, I like Lea Thompson fine, I actually was quite fond of the Richard character for his ridiculousness. You could see Caroline having a thing for him and you could hope for her that he would reciprocate, but to have him actually do it?! naw
Day one. Yes, it was better than the other "girl-in-the-city-on-her-own-working-in-some-fabulous-job-with-a-fab-apartment" shows that NBC had to offer in the 90s, like the truly wretched Suddenly Susan, but that's not saying much. I never thought Lea Thompson was as a bad actress as has been cited here, but she was clearly upstaged by the the supporting cast like the characters of Annie, Del and even Richard. Caroline was a truly a annoying character, but then again, given the material here, it would be hard for anyone to sell it. It really jumped when Richard started dating Caroline and other women. The character seemed gayer than thou and his "chemistry" with Caroline just solidified it. (I remember MadTV even parodying this relationship.) It also jumped when they brought that rollerskating guy onboard.
