O'Hurley: Name the biggest state in America.

By ONE POINT, Texas was number one. What kind of idiot people do they survey for this show!?

Richard Dawson I thought was cool on Matchgame, but became nauseating, and somewhat of a pervert kissing young girls. (Hearing every smack, yuck!) He also got irritated easily at the end of his run. I liked Ray, even though he went through that weird wearing womens high heels thing. He seemed sincere, and had some cute jokes, but often was corny. Louie Anderson was just plain uncomfortable. I felt sorry for him. Richard Karn , liked laughing at his own jokes too much. Sorry, you were not funny dude! John O'hurley wins this one, hands down. He is the best by far. Yeah, bring back the old set.

I can understand feeling sorry for Combs, given what he went through. However, that was in his private life. As a host, I could never come to like him. Ridicule Dawson if you will, but he had much more of an on-air personality than Combs ever did. I think the only two hosts that have really been effective were Dawson and O'Hurleyheeheehee.

Just my 2 cents.

I felt sorry for Ray Combs. I thought he did a good job overall but seemed to wear his frustrations on his sleeve. Obviously, he was dealing with some pretty deep issues. He was certainly better than Louie Anderson and the lush Richard Dawson.

FWIW, I like John O'Hurley. I liked him as an FF host. In fact, I think the only two good hosts they've had are RD and John. The others have pretty much sucked. John has a bit of class about him that Louie Anderson and others just never had.

I was so disapointed when they chose John O'Hurley to host the new FF. Out of all people they could choose! He's already hosted other things and wasn't he a judge on Dancing with the stars?
The only thing that makes him popular basicly is his voice. I mean he's a funny great guy, but I wish they would have chose someone else to host the show. Someone less seen like Adam West, Jim Carrey, Steve Martin.
O'Hurley is a no brainer choice. He's to obvious and is seen to much.

I love Family Feud. Richard Karn was the worst in my opinion. There were times when he helped certain families cheat, and I'm glad he was fired. The night time version is pretty good. I disagree about Al Roker. He is a natural at this sort of thing.

Dawson ruled this show -- none of the re-incarnations have come close, except for O'Hurley. O'Hurley brought some of RD's shine back, but it just has never been the same since RD left.

The newest prime-time celebrity version with Al Roker is absolutely horrible. Who decided this man could be host of a show like this? He's completely wrong for it.

When every answer involved bathroom humor of some kind. Seriously, some of us are trying to eat while watching this show! I guess the housewives and such find it funny though.

Feud JTS when then host Dawson kissed my wife and gave her an STD. Our family won about three grand but the missus got an infection that took 2 months to clear up!

Cuddles, you are exactly right. It amazes me that people can't figure out that it's a good idea to pass when there are a lot of answers. As for JTS, Louie Anderson was a joke. The first time I saw him, I was in disbelief anyone would hire that buffoon for any acting job. John O'Hurley has one of those innately boring voices (reminds me of Adam Thicke), and I can't stand to listen to him for 5 minutes.

Hey anyone here remember the funny episode during the Ray Combs hosting era when the first of the two family members participating in fast money got the 200 points that was needed to win the money, and so Ray gave the other family member joke questions to fill the time?

The old set was classic, the old music was classic. And of course there was Richard Dawson, smooching all the ladies. Didn't matter how old or how young - on one of the FF DVD compilations, they had the casts of TV shows pitted against each other, and ol' Richard locked lips with then-11 year old Quinn Cummings of "Family".
But as far as classics go, you can't beat the old Feud. Just because a traditional gameboard can be updated with new graphics, and classic theme music can be replaced, doesn't mean it should be.

While O'Hurley is an improvement...

WTF is with those signs in the audience? Please... Leave them in the WWE where they belong. Those things are so stupid. NOBODY in their right mind believes those were made by the people holding them.
