Jumped after Ben Chaplin left. IMHO Ben Chaplin WAS Game On, and without him it as basically a different programme. I could never imagine Stuke doing the scene when Matt breaks down while performing at his first gig.
Never jumped.

Series 3 wasn't as great as Series 2, but no way did it jump the shark, only Archie's death was the point where it jumped, and that was the final episode.

Special props to Neil Stuke who is one of the very few (possibly the only) actor to come in and make the role his own, and even better than the previous actor. Ben Chaplin was great, as was series 1, but series 2 is just GOLD and still makes me laugh out loud even today.
Yes, fine, Neil Stuke did a decent job, but weirdly, this show fell to the curb when Samantha Janus and Neil started getting other work (where are they now though?). A mate actually has both series on video (and you can't fault the BBC there), and I've got to admit that the first series is still brilliant. Surely one of the most underrated British sitcoms in recent years (well, the last 10 anyway), I find it hard to believe that this faded away, while we had to watch increasingly terrible episodes of Men Behaving Badly. Still, Neil Stuke has left one lasting legacy; to this day, whenever I see a custard cream, I'll hurl it to the floor and yell "Grannies's biscuits!" (I don't, but it made a good story...)
This show never jumped.I think it even suvived the change of actor.I kind of found Neil Stuke a more "likeable" Matthew. The little in joke at the end of episode one series two where they complained about the different Becky while they watched Roseanne was cute and as a recovered Agoraphbic I liked the way they handled Matt's trying to leave the flat. The final series wasn't so great but not enough to make it jump.
Game On never jumped. I thought Neil Stuke did a good job in taking over from Ben Chaplin. I loved the episodes when Mandy's friend was trying to find a way to tell Matt he loved him. I also loved the episodes (esp. BC's) when Matt left the flat.
First Episode of the second series, when Ben Chaplin left.
