Shark Bytes

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Pia Zedora incident yet? In 1981 I believe it was, Pia won a Golden Globe for a film that hadn't even been released yet. It was the single most obvious case of someone buying an award in the history of televised award shows. So obvious that the FCC kicked it off of network tv into TBS purgatory for the next 15 years. If that isn't a shark jump, I don't think there is such thing.

It definitely jumped the shark this year, BIG TIME. I never actually cared for this Oscar wannabe. Where's the host? Where the joke. This year, however, they just did a slezy, starless, and writerless ceremony. Low ratings. Good. This award show thinks its so funny. It's not. Send this impostor back to cable.

WHERE is Vincent D'Onofrio's Emmy?Holly Hunter,whom I first disliked(!)blows them all away.She doesn't "act"the part,she is the part.Minnie can Driver herself right out the door with EVERYONE else.Kyra too.Saving Grace makes all other shows seem dull and old hat.AMAZING!

The Golden Globes looks like a rerun of last year. Why bother to watch? Why are the same people, shows, channels always nominated? I've thought John Glover (Smallville's Lionel Luthor) has been overlooked for the last 6 years. Check out the CW once in a while.

Give me a break. Dexter IS the best show ever. Masi Oka makes Heroes, Where the heck is Tommie Lee Jones for the Valley of Elah? Mathew Fox on the season finale of Lost blew us away. Although I'm not a Desparate fan Huffman's cancer victim was well acted.

What about Heroes? Sure, it got off to a rough start, but it's still one of the better shows on TV.

Furthermore, why was Monk's Tony Shalhoub left off? He's been nominated every year the show's been on. Why leave him off now, with another solid season under his belt?

Walton Goggins for supporting actor, drama. Masterful last season on The Shield.

Another actor I would like to see to win the supporting tv award instead of JP or KD for "entourage" is Ted Danson for "Damages"!!!

Just when you think "Entourage" couldn't have gotten more overexposed,overrated and overhyped, this year the Golden Globes has nominated the show for best comedy for best show for its WORST SEASON EVER!!!! I HOPE THAT THE EXTREMLEY TALENTED AND GIFTED DONALD SUTHERLAND KICK BOTH OF JERMEY PIVEN AND KEVIN DILLON'S CANDYASSES FOR HIS REMARKLBLE AND INFERIOR PERFORMANCE IN "DIRTY SEXY MONEY" AND THAT "PUSHING DASIES"
WINS FOR BEST T.V. COMEDY!!!!!!

I totally agree with the editor, Rachel Griffith(big yawn) and Sally Field (nauseating). I have also watched Big Love since the beginning and I thought this was the worse season ever. BIll Paxton's acting was the worst and Margene(g. goodwin) was so overacting. I think it jumped the shark because the head wife Barb was in total disagreement with what Bill and Margene were doing with the gambling place and then all of a sudden she turns around and comes out the closet to her neighbors and goes right back to the old way with bill. It made her look stupid and naive. I'm sorry Tony Shaloub didn't get a nod but ever since Sharona left, I've not been that interested. HOORAY for the tudors and J. Rhys Myers. I also agree with you about House. The show was great before because of all the inter action between the cast and now we hardly ever see them (except for Foreman, boo). All these new actors so far you can have and bring back the old crew.

Holly Hunter should also be a big yay for her work in Saving Grace. However, Minnie Driver ought to win

I think Samantha Who? should be up for best comedy!
