Better than ever. Love Karith and Tony. Rob Bartlett is still funny, Carl from Slingblade is the best. The I-man still gets the best guests. The Blind Boys of Alabama were amazing. Anyone who hasn't seen his new show on RFD TV dosen't know what their missing.
Who he heck cares about "Rodeo Results"? Maybe 1/4 of 1% of his audience! I know he thinks he si some kind of pseudo cowboy, But the drug store cowboy fad came and went in the late 70s. Just Like Imus.
Jumped the Shark, New Show is horrible, annoying black sidekick Karith, he doesnt let Bernard speak, if he wasnt going to keep the old show shouldnt have come back. Bring back Sid get rid of the 2 black sidekicks.
c'mon charles - stop with the phony laughter - you got the job. --or do you -- hmm....better keep laughing.
As a regular listener both before and after the Rutger's incident, I would have to put imus in the hasn't jumped category.
I think, however, his propensity to jump will be very high in the coming weeks unless he can recall many of his influential and political guests on his show. Lets face it, you can only talk about rodeo results for so long.
It should be interesting to watch...

Well now this "Half Dead " has been Is back on the Radio. Took off good programming and its back to the same old lame humor and his circle who he pays to laugh at everything he says. Only now he has a black guy on the show to tell the racist jokes. And yes Imus constantly now brags about his generousity to Black causes. What a 2 faced load of trash. But like all of todays talkshow hosts, he is a political hack! and will get high "phony" ratings regardless.locause
To bad MSNBC didn't have the guts just to say "screw you" to everybody that was complaining. They should NOT have fired him.
The only good thing that will likely happen now is that his wife (old enough to be his Granddaughter)will finally leave him so she won't have to look at his ragged, haggled wrinkled, mug of his all day. When that happens the sheep on the farm better break loose and RUN FOR THE HILLS!!
Watch out for black man that is constantly scratching at the scabs of left by racisim, his main intrest is not healing but in keeping a constant since of grevance going so he can keep his job. - Booker T. Washington
If you give anyone enough rope they will hang themselves and the Rev. Al has done it. He actully cited Time basis for his theology. What gumball machine did the Rev. get his Rev from.
Imus's main sin was not a bad joke or his laughable attempt as a old white guy to try to sound like a hip black man it was giving power to the Rev. AL

Al Sharpton said that Mormons do not beleve in God. This is the man that CBS actully took seriously as an abiter of what bigoted statement is too far. I give up. I hope IMUS whom I personally hate, wins millions from CBS.
& I made a typo. no big surprise for me
Should have said
I thought this was the "Jump the Shark" web site, Not a place to state your views on Sharpton, Jackson, race & rap music.

As a black man, I am so tired of black people using words that no-one else "can" use. If we as a group of people don't want others calling us these names then we shouldn't call ourselves these names. Words can't have double meanings. The n word can be used by blacks because its a form of love supposedly between friends. On the other hand if another race uses it then it is derogatory, make up your minds...are the words bad or not. Also lets see sharpton and jackson go after blacks who degrade us. Such as Chappelle, Chris Rock and almost every rapper you can name.
To those posters who have deluded themselves into believing this was a free speech issue, hear me now.
Don Imus EXERCISED his right to free speech. He can say whatever he wants about anyone he wants. The police did not come to his house and arrest him for his remarks.
HOWEVER, as an "employee" of CBS Radio and MSNBC, he's not allowed to say anything he wants on their networks without penalty.
Sorry, but when was the last time you said whatever was on your mind at your job? You can't, because you'd find quicker than you can say "nappy" that you'd be out of a job.
The First Amendment only protects you against government sanction for most forms of speech - it doesn't protect you from sanction from an employer or even the public - just as the Dixie Chicks - if they do not like what you say.
I disagree with Imus' firing, but that was a decision made by his employers. It's not up to you, or me, or the government. Free Speech comes with responsibility and ultimately, consequences.
