didja ever notice Harm somehow finagled his way into the F-14 cockpit just in time for a dangerous mission...even though he wasn't on current flight status with that particular navy squadron on the "Seahawk". i guess none of the readily available more experienced aviators were able to save the day.
my JTS moment was when Harm picked up an acoustic guitar, and belted out a soulful ballad...complete with dimming background lights and baleful eyes. who'd he think he was...David Soul?
Didn't like the last seasons without Chegwidden, and with the newbies.

Loved JAG. HATE widescreen!! Will not buy the released widescreen crappy version. Jeers to whatever idiot decided to put it in widescreen instead of fullscreen.
It was a little strange that this was
a "pro-military" show in which there was
a crooked soldier nearly every week. The
boosterism didn't quite fit the format.

The show did suck in the final two seasons. After the Admiral left, it never recovered.
The cases usually seemed so cut & dry. The good guy always wins. By the way, why did they get all of the cases. What did the other staff members do in the office all day? Walk around with folders to look important?
JAG is corny and inaccurate, but I couldn't stop watching it. The final episode raised my blood pressure a few points. How thrown-together was that ending?
The only positive aspect of the show was catching Mac in her desert cammies. Yum.

Oh come on! It jumped the shark when Meg Austin lefted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me forever to get used to Mac and even when I did, half the time I couldn't tolerte her plastic-surgeried-silicon body!!!! Meg should have never left the show!!!!!!!
The show jumped when it brought in too many characters and brought forward too many secondary ones, and began feel like each had to have their own story thread in an episode.. In a show that without commercials is only forty minutes long, something has to give.. Sadly it was the story.. So instead of the compelling courtroom drama and who done it staring basically Mac and Harm with the Admiral, Bud, et al supporting it.. It become a show of punchlines. Who cares if there is that Hall Mark moment, if we never know why we should care.. It is wasted.. I also think giving Harm a brother was a HUGE mistake! Why when it was so beautifully and movingly resolved back in season four in Gypsy Eyes! More was not better, and they couldn't fix to time line to make the age of the brother right! The second was the teenage girl for Harm.. Honestly, the whole something is wrong with Harm because he hasn't married and he is forty years old.. Not everyone marries, and not everyone who doesn't marry has committment problems.. Giving into the shipping, loved the partnership between Harm and Mac when they were close friends/rivils/sometimes sexually attracted to each other but hiding it, but always professional partners. That was refreshing and got mucked up as the show went on... Finally the series final sucked.. The idea that either of these career people would happily give up and be happy afterwards their career on the toss of a coin it just plain STUPID!@
It JTS when Admiral Chegwiddon left. The last season was just painful to watch. I kept hopping it would find its way back but it didn't. I wish it had been edgier and less traditional "comfort TV". Catherine Bell needs her own show where she is the lead. Army Wives under uses her and the military material has her career in a rut. Love to see her is some action/sci-fi thing.
JAG jumped the shark twice - when Harm got all wrapped up with the little girl, and then when the Admiral retired. They had that whole little girl thing going with Mac and figured our a much cleaner ending with it.
Love the show.
Love the show.
Harm shoots up the courtroom ceiling in season 2 and gets by with only an a-- chewing? To borrow a line from Top Gun, he should have been sent to fly "a cargo plane full of rubber dog s--- out of Hong Kong." Night blindness shouldn't have hindered him there
I guess that early jump is what allowed me to still enjoy the show for the rest of its run. If I knew it wasn't going to be believable I wasn't too disappointed when, for example, Mac had her ESP moments. While Harm's shooting spree was the official JTS for me, I almost swore off the show when Bud was brought back from the dead (I certainly swore at it!) Ah, but like so many, I stuck with it until the bitter, cheesy end and am now happy to see it is being released on DVD.
