Shark Bytes
This show was based on a toy line that lasted all of two minutes, and had plenty of Hanna-Barbera type cheesiness, so by all rights it should have jumped early in its life, but it never did! I used to fight with my brother over watching this or Scooby-Doo.
This show never jumped the shark. I used to watch it when I was little, and I loved it. I remember the Merlin-type guy, and I remember Jayce and the rest of the crew on the spaceship fighting the villians from the other planets. This was a great cartoon, and I was so fascinated by it when I was little.
never jumped. i used to love this bad boy! i too had the vehicle with the saw blade scorpion tail type thing, i think it was a vine... anyway, i remember being sort of pissed cu my brother jot one of the good guys toy, and it cane with a cool little figure, probably jayce himself, while my toy had this bunk ass plant-blob that was ugly on the front and contoured on the back to fit the car's cock pit. looked cool in the car, but useless otherwise. still, i thought i was a pretty cool idea for a show, even if it was a half hour add for the toys.
I used to love this show. the aforementioned knight robot character was named Oon. and they battled these half plant half machine characters led by the evil SawBoss. I also remember Jayce had an old man as a tutor who looked like a merlin type and then there was the pilot of the ship han solo type. but anyway it was a really cool show and I still have some of the toys.
hey to the above poster- wasn't one of the toys (a bad guy i think) this black vehicle with a plant stalk that came out of top and curved over head like scorpion tail and had saw blade on the end of it. i had that one it ruled
Does anyone in the world remember this freaky cartoon from the 80's? Best theme-song ever!!! (sounds like DIO or some other ridiculous hair-band). Very vague....but I believe the humans on the show were fighting some kind of plant/monster/machine hybrids???!!! I remember the leader had some-kind of cabbage-head thing going on. Somebody tell me they know what I'm talking about.....I'm starting to think it was all some horrible dream!
This was one of those syndicated cartoons based on a line of toys. It used to come on in the early morning when I was supposed to be dressing for school, so I would get up and dress early so I could see it, and my mother would be upset if she caught me wasting time watching television before school. It was about this group of odd characters, including at least on robot who had a head like a knight's helmet, traveling about on a spaceship. Each episode they would be attacked by the evil plant, so they would mount into their cars which had saw blades and various tricks attached, and attack enemy vehicles which grew out of the plant's pods. I don't remember why I was fascinated by this.
