I Loved this show, and I loved John P. Navin Jr. I wish I knew what he was up to now!
Oh, oh, oh! I know where Glenn Scarpelli is! He's openly gay, lives in Sedona Arizona, and has some sort of internet site or company called Sedona Now.
Novel enough idea about a dead, oldtime Hollywood star more like Harlow than Monroe that haunted the mansion a family lived in now.She befriended the young son.OK but not great show.

I can't remember ever seeing the show.
One great thing for sure it that there was one less jerk watching.
The writing was lame. The acting was lame. Ann Jillian was beyond gorgeous. That woman was so stunning she actually made watching this dreadful show something a teenage guy (or a thirtyish guy... or a guy not dead yet) would look forward to.
A show about a dead wife and husband that haunt a family that moved into their house. I think the daughter or the dog could see them, but they were invisible to everyone else. Worst sit-com ever, and that speaks volumes.
Hey! This was John P. Navin Jr.'s big break. After years as a guest on other people's show's, like Cheer's (He had the 1st line of the 1st episode), Silver Spoons (the bully that was crushed by Mr. T), and The Facts of Life, he finally got his own show. Jennifer Slept Here should still be on the air today, and I'm not just saying this because he was my friend in high school.
This show NEVER jumped I have fond memories of Ann Jillian pretending she was the ghost in my house she'd catch me being master of my domain and then we'd have an other worldly experience.
This show jumped the shark when Glenn Scarpelli made his first appearance. The same thing happened when he appeared on One Day at a Time. What a no-talent piece of work. And where is Mr. Scarpelli now??? I rest my case.
When Jennifer discovered that she could possess everyone and made the actors embarrass each other. I mean, Ann Jillian was hot but the set was ugly, the cast a bunch of no talents and the scripts painful. The episode with Debbie Reynolds as Jillian's mother was probably among the better episodes along with Zelda Rubenstein, the fake ghostbuster who turns out to be real. When the series showed that Jillian was really Joey's guardian angel, even I had to roll my eyes. It had so much potential even with Joey Scarbury (Greatest American Hero) doing the theme song. Unfortunately, Ann couldn't pull the show off on her own and she was allowed to pass over peacefully after two seasons.
There was a definite jump that occurred during the episode where that punk kid (the only person who could see Ann Jillian) was going to see Rick Springfield in concert. The girl he was taking as a date was just using him to be able to see the show. It was an episode trying to project a lesson to young kids everywhere about their own self worth and the importance of not letting people walk all over you. It's just too bad it took something as harsh as Rick Springfield to teach them that lesson. Man, Ann Jillian had some big jugs.
This show jumped the shark from the get-go, but I will say that I hold a special (very, very, very) small place in my heart for it. I think because my name is Jennifer, and when it was on and I was in fifth grade, that was a very cool deal. Wow. That's just sad.
If you can find one good thing about this "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" ripoff in which Ann Jillian played a ghost who could only be seen by that kid who played Ox on "Silver Spoons", someone should give you a million dollars.
