I love me some talk shows (even the ridiculous ones) but Jenny Jones was absolutely unbearable towards the end. It turned into a whimsical kiddy show. I remeber she had actual characters- like 'Rude Jude' and stupid little fairies on the screen.

She also would stick up for snotty guests. If an audience member tried to speak their mind (and this is a talk show, mind you) she would say,"Hey, hey" and make them sit down. Thus, not allowing the guests to realize how idiotic they were.. or make any change.

Jenny annoyed me, too. Always trying to dress young and cool. You could tell she was inlove with the camera and herself. She just tried too hard.
I found that the Jenny Jones show was very entertaining. Many people criticize it was like Jerry Springer. Yes, in a way, it was, but to an extent. Fights were rare. It was just loud talking. She was a great host and would be today if she was on the air. As of now, she is choosing not to. She is doing a contest through the end of this year where she is giving away a million dollars of her own money. Over 40 people can earn up to $25,000. The money has to be used to help the community. You can check it out at www.jennyjones.com .
if the show is so bad, go make your own show.

Can anyone tell me how I can get a hold of past episodes. I was a former guest on there and I would like to get copies of all the shows I was on. Thanks
Disgusting show, disgusting host.Hmmm, just like Maury and that abomination is still on the air with all of two subjects.(Preteen hookers, paternity tests...yuch!)Jenny Jones ought to be rotting in jail along with her crew for causing the death of a man.Hey,jeah(Like she always used to say...),throw her into the pen with Maury,Sally Jesse and maybe "Dr".Phil.
The Jenny Jones show jumped after Jenny testified in the murder trial stemming from her gay crush episode. Jenny took no blame, saying that her producers are the ones that do all the work & she just shows up for the taping. WTF? It's called the Jenny Jones Show! Take some responisbility. It was just harmless fun up to that point. She was just some ditzy chick that had a semi-hit show during the talk show boom of the 90's.
I attended a taping of a 2 part show in which kids who ran away from home because they could absolutely not stand their parents and vice versa were reunited (parent and runaway child). Ok, I had no problem with this circus... until the the end when as the audience was walking out of the studios to leave the building, each set of parent and child were seen leaving TOGETHER!

Ummm... didn't you guys just spend the past 2 hours talking trash about each other and saying how you could not stand each others guts and couln't resolve anything? Then how did you manage to patch things up in between the end of the taping and exit time? (10 minutes). Now those 10 minutes would have been worthy of seeing!
Jenny Jones jumped the minute the show aired. I had some friends submit themselves to this program in the early 90s. They had a commercial break, then Jenny asked the Husband, who was in the audience what he thought of his wife still being friends with her ex, and he said "This probably sounds old-fashioned, but I trust my wife." The crowd then roared with laughter. Jenny immediately went to another commercial break. This was how she kept control. Terrible program.
Anyone ever notice that anyone who got a makeover was given the exact look that Jenny had at the moment? You had 12 year old girls parading out on a catwalk with that God-awful Jenny hair-do and the same outfit she was wearing. Who wants to look like Jenny?
When Jenny got a breast reduction. They were the only two reasons to watch the show.
I'd call this show a piece of trash, but that would be too insulting to trash.
"Jenny Jones" jumped the shark when Jenny (or the ones who signed her checks) decided to be another pathetic sheep following the herd and did what everyone else at the time was doing--the played to the lowest common denominator. When she first came on the air, her show was so syrupy sweet that you'd get a tooth ache before the first commercial break. She didn't take on any topic that had a lot of weight to it and her studio audience was full of predominantly women--kind of like Oprah is today. She even devoted a segment to her viewer's baby pictures, which illicited oohs and ahhs from everyone. You can well imagine what the numbers for something like that were (NOBODY 'out Oprahs' Oprah), so she had to make some drastic changes. She started doing the "Springer" bit--which led to the unfortunate murder of a gay man under the guise of "Secret Crush." You'd think that would have stopped the train, but, she kept plugging away. It was a slow death, but, by the end her show was full of crazed lunatics screaming hip-hop disses and Jones herself looked as though she was teetering dangerously on the verge of losing total control of them--dressed in car vinyl and go-go boots, I might add. It's no coincedence that most of the commercials in her commercial breaks were for GED programs, technical schools, 1-800 lawyers, bad credit agencies, and discount phone services. People who were sitting at home and would need any of the above offerings were the demographic she was after. These are the same people who thought that "Rude Jude" was "the funniest thing they'd seen in a while." The word "play-ah" was a mainstay in their vocabularies and they hoped beyond hope that one day somebody could make them look like Christina Aguillera. Scary, but, thankfully somebody thought it was time to shoot this lame horse. It's a terrible paradox in day time talk, but, most people believe you have to be ultra clean (see "The View") or down right raunchy (see "Springer") in order to succeed. There is no in between. Well, Jones tried both routes and failed miserably...she should be thanking her lucky stars that she managed to stay afloat for as long as she did.
The first season of TJJS was actually tolerable, with subjects ranging from Tupperware parties to breast cancer, and the show was tastefully done, if not thought-provoking. Sadly, it suffered in the almighty ratings, mostly because other talk show fare at the time had already turned sleazy (Geraldo, Sally Jesse, et al), so J.J.'s producers convinced ol' Jen to copy the others, thus converting her into "Ninny Jones" and rendering such TJJS topics as "I'm in love with a midget amputee!", et al, ad nauseum. Even Jenny/ Ninny herself early on seemed to cringe as if she were thinking "I can't believe I'm asking you this..." when she posed her questions to the members of the panel, but she quickly overcame this stumbling block to become one of the queens of sleaze TV (along with Ricki and Sally Jesse). Not too shabby for a failed comedienne with a bad boob job, eh? Only in America...
To the above poster: Your points are well-taken...however, Geraldo's show was canned several yrs ago. :) But I digress...the demise of JJ, along w/the success of such non-trashy hosts as Dr. Phil, Ellen DeGeneres, and John Walsh (plus competition from high-rated court programs and game shows) these past coupla seasons have proved that the entire trash talk genre is running out of steam...Ricki may be history after this season, Springer's contract expires next year, and considering how low his ratings have fallen since all fighting was barred from the show 5 yrs ago, he could very well end up calling it a run when '05 rolls around...Maury, on the other hand, is still pulling decent ratings, so he may stick around for a few more seasons yet...who knows what'll happen, though...
