Great show, never jumped but I agree with an above poster maybe it was an over crowded time sot and never got the audience it coud have before it was cancelled, other than that I can't figure out why a show ike this would've been cancelled.
Original "Blade" movie Producer, Ken Willis who cast Actor, Wesley Snipes as the Marvel-Superhero character "Blade" eventually got him booked on a few Hollywood shows like the "Gong Show." But, don't worry about ole'Cowboy he's still somewhere trying to hit a another home-run in Hollywood.
This show was a lot better than the two sorry guys dominating the 11:30 slot. Keenan really knows how to put on a show even though hes not personally a great comedian. His monologues were pretty hilarious, as were the comedy skits, plenty of drug humor. Too bad networks found out they could get better ratings putting MASH reruns in his slot.
i disagree with the sharker above who said that keenan isn't a front man. usually front men are the core, not the funniest person of the group but the parent or the straight man. look at monty python. the front man was graham chapman (r.i.p.) - he was always the main (or title) characters in the python movies while all the really funny guys did stuff around him. that was how keenen was on in living color so he is a straight man, ie a front man, but his talk show sucked because there're too many of them just like there's too many donahue/oprah type shows - i'm just praying bill clinton becomes a host so he can prove to be the joke he really is. but anyhow - keenan is a great talent and got ripped off, because he discovered in living color and fox screwed him big time.
It never had a chance to jump the shark. It was always a great show and I never figured out why they cancelled it.
Keenan jumped when he tried to be the main man instead of a supporting actor. He's hysterical, but not a front man.
Damn you once again FOX for canceling a good show. Whatever happened to Cowboy?
