THis was one of the funniest, and certainly the most clever tv shows I've ever seen! I agree with the last guy... Hurry up with the DVD!!!
I think this show was awesome and needs to come out on DVD or at least Comedy Central should say something about it. If you search for it on their website nothing even comes up! Hurry with the DVD release.
This show absolutely sucked!! How can anyone possibly find it funny when compared to the much funnier "Drawn Together"
Are you crazy? This show was awesome. Terrific animation, very funny characters (fake & real) and crazy plots. The fact that it only ran 8 episodes I think it is because most people just didn't "get" the humor. I have both seen the documentary & read the book, The Kid Stays in the Picture, and the numerous references are terrific for anyone who is a fan of Evans. I REALLY, REALLY hope this gets a DVD release. A truly wonderful show.
Robert Evans one of Hollywood's greatest PRODUCERS and characters, a sassy Anglophobe cat, and Slash -- I only wish they made a second season
This show has not JTS! It actually is the funniest I've seen in a long time. It seems to blend aspects of movie-making, politics and real life characters (some fictional of course) and it creates a wonderfully original show. I'm surprised that many people don't like it (from what I've heard at school anyways). Maybe it's because the humor is a little twisted. Still, it's a classic. I want a second season!
I've seen the documentary THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE on HBO and it found it fascinating, but I hardly think that warrants an unfunny cartoon like Kid Notorious. The only good thing about this show are the voices (whoever does the voice of Liam Neeson is so good, it's scary).
It jumped the second some Comedy Central exec. thought, "Hey, remember director Robert Evans? Why don't we give him a cartoon show where he plays himself, half his age, and he's practically a superhero? It'll be a hit, like everything else we do!" Where the hell is the humor? No one gives a crap about Robert Evans anymore, why let him have his own cartoon? The supporting characters were terrible, his silent cat had more personality than the rest. A midget Joe Pesci? Were they high?
This animated series about the exploits of Hollywood producer Robert Evans is one of the funniest shows that Comedy Central has come up with in a long time! The plots are hysterical and the writing is first rate! To those who don't know much about Evans it may come across as pompous and rather full of itself, but therein lies the charm of the show. The real life Robert Evans, who has made and lost more fortunes that you or I will ever see, and who incidentally provides the voice of The Kid, spins such a line of B.S., ends up looking like a typically superficial Hollywood sleazeball. While some may see it as self-aggrandizing, it's really self-deprecating. Evans surrounds himself with a cadre of regular and recurring characters that include the likes of Slash (of Guns N' Roses) and Donald Rumsfeld, who is portrayed as a loose cannon with an itchy trigger finger and a fetish for wrestling world leaders. Is this a good show? In the words of The Kid: "you bet your ass it is"!
