king of the hill died the day it premiered, scratch that it died the day beavis and butthead got cut. mr anderson should have stayed in cartoon hell, in whole the show is a big fat smelly piece of lizard crap.

The shark had a MIGHTY FINE feast when King of the Hill jumped over it (the shark). When Nancy Gribble broke up with John Redcorn--that's when King of the Hill jumped the shark BIG TIME. .

Cotton's death was detrimental to KoTH! Hear me out:

Watching some past episodes of King of the Hill, the past Cotton was always loud, mean, and obnoxious, but he did have a heart. Despite being a jerk, he did care for Hank deep down inside. Proof: Cotton became jealous and angry when Hank said "I love you" to Buck Strickland. As time passed, he became meaner and meaner and was absolutely cruel. His character was a comic foil to Peggy. When she was getting too full of herself, Cotton would be the one to pop her ego, much to her ire. With Cotton gone, her narcissism can now grow out of control. Now, all you Cotton-haters can see how his dead was a bad thing. Unless, of course, you look forward to Peggy's vanity taking over the show.

This show has become more and more far-fetched as the writers have run out of ideas.Sad that they killed off Cotton,when what we really want to see is a long,lingering,torturous death for Peggy.I meet stupid,ugly women every day who think they're clever and beautiful.Nothing funny about that...

Hasn't jumped yet. There was a recent episode where Peggy is trying to sell a house that made me bust up a few times. It might be slow, but it doesn't drag. Best cartoon on Fox.

KOTH has not jumped the shark. I would like to know, like many others, what happened to Didi and GH. Killing off Cotton was GREAT. I HATED his character, he was a useless P.O.S.

I like this show. And I'm a guy who likes Tripping the Rift, Beavis and Butthead, South Park, and Family Guy. It's a break from endless fart-gags and watching some pervert drool over boobs.

I don't watch it enough though to state whethere it jumped the shark or not. However I have to respond to this comment:

"King of the Hill isn't what you would call "classically" funny, because it's not funny at all. The characters are annoying, and the show leaves you wondering "When is someone gonna fart"? Beavis and Butthead was hilarious, but then Mike Judge wanted to clean up his humor. He went from good, to Bob Saget. The only character you might like, is Hank, because once in a while he says "I'm gonna have to kick your ass". The only funny part of the show. My advice to Mike Judge is that this clean humor isn't working, and that he should go back to what works, instead of what pleases idiots who complain too much."

The 'Firemen' episode. Bill gets stuck on the pole with his butt poking through the floor. They JUST found out that old guy died. Then Bill rips a fart.

As far as I can tell, it was the only fart joke I can remember from the entire series.

Just because beavis and butthead was funnier and better doesnt necessarily mean king of the hill sucks. King of the hill is a different kind of humor than beavis and butthead. I personally think its funny in its own way.

How this show has lasted over 10 years is amazing. The first time I saw this show I hoped it would be canceled the next day. It's one of the most overrated shows on TV and I can't believe people still watch. To my best recollection I have never laughed during an episode of this show because it is simply not funny! I don't know what happened because Beavis and Butthead is one of the funniest shows ever! I think Mike Judge is just like David Letterman. Funny on one network, then jump to another and get a bit more money, not funny anymore but gets to continue to bore the viewers for another 10 or so years.

King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows the first 9 seasons were great, but I don't like the current state of the show, that stupid hillbilly Lucky is now a recurring character why did the new writers have Luanne become attracted to him he is so old and very ugly, Cotton died and if they had to kill him they should have made it heroic like protecting Hank and Bobby from something not being burned on a grill, and the show seems much tamer than it used to be like now there is hardly any cursing anymore, there is hardly any violence, Dale doesn't smoke as much as he used to, Hank rarely gets angry or uncomfortable anymore, Luanne, Bobby, and Joseph are too stupid now a days. Also the show has many inconsistancies now a days like Luanne is suppossibly pregnant with that ugly bastard Lucky's child but it's been two years since she supposibly became pregant and she shows absolutely no signs what so ever, Peggy's mom has changed in appearance, attitude, and background story, Luanne's dad has also changed from what we knew about him he was a small timid man who looked like Peggy if she were a guy, Luanne last seen him in person when her mom stabbed him with a fork, and he went in hiding from Leanne to an oil rig and would not come back unless he heard Leanne died, however in the most recent episode he is now this fat guy who looks like Joe Jack, he supposibly went in hiding because he is addicted to drugs, Luanne claimed she hadn't seen him since she was a little girl, and Hank claimed to have never met him dispite in past episodes he mentioned talking to him.

No, no...I didn't say Homer's Mom was trailer trash, I was just pointing out the "parent getting to see their kid again" storyline being taken from the Simpsons, but replacing a Mother and her loving hippie personality with a Father who is criminally inclined trailer trash. I'm sorry if I was unclear on that.
The episode where Mona was introduced is one of my favorites from Season 7. It pisses me off that they decided to kill her off in this last season.

You guys, this show has NOT jumped at all. Look where The Simpsons was in their 12th season, and King of the Hill blows it away. Yeah it's changed a little bit, but the style is still the same for the most part which is why it is going into its 13th season next fall. The only episode I can say I really didn't like from this past season is the one where Hank accidentally steals that guys wallett and Dale works at Hooters. I just got done watching the one where Joseph's step sister comes and Dale thinks an Alien gave birth to her and it was HILARIOUS!

And to the person that said Homer's mom is trailor trash is wrong. She does care about Homer in the two episodes she's been in.

Anyways, long live King of the Hill. Still going strong after 12 years! Besides South Park, how many shows can say that?!
