This show NEVER jumped; perhaps the finale was disappointing, but overall this show was consistently good through all 9 seasons.
Let's not forget the hilarious classic episodes, like when Spence's girlfriend is taking a class at the culinary school. When Carrie catches him eating at the end, she says "A Salad? Really Doug, a Salad"? Then she says she's going to kill him, and he says "What are you going to do, wing one of your biscuits at my head"?
HILARIOUS!
Who can forget the "Awful Bigamy" episode where Carrie is the upstairs wife and Holly is the downstairs one?
This is the modern day Honeymooners and arguably the funniest show ever on television. Spooner was the man! Remember when Holly brought the German Shepherd over and Arthur looks at it and says "What's up with the Kraut"?
Remember Arthur said "I saw Mussolini once. Of course, he was upside down at the time"...
Brilliant, simply brilliant. The cast was perfect and the comedic timing was spot on. I don't laugh at shows that are on now like I did when Spence made a happy-face with the shuffleboard weights!
I LOVE King of Queens!
It's such a shame they took it off the air!

Kevin James is pure gold!
It was an OK show, the kind of show that you would watch if only infomercials were on tv..anyone who would call it a classic is on drugs IMHO.

By the way I find it disturbing that the number one for the show jumping the shark is that the actress on the show got fat..really disturbing
This is one of the last funny shows to air. The garbage now is...just that garbage. All there is on t.v. now is "that reality junk". And we should be just about sick of that mess.
Very funny show. I always thought Leah Remini and Kevin James had good chemistry. I liked all of the characters and the episodes were always funny with the crazy stories they had. Although I have to say that Arthur could be very annoying sometimes. And I thought it was a little weird how there are some episodes that Arthur isn't seen at all. And he's not even mentioned in them. It's like Arthur would just disappear sometimes like he didn't even exist. I just think that's a little strange. But besides that it's a very good and very funny sitcom.
I want PIZZA!!!
scream it like Arthur
HOW did George Costanza's father become Carrie Spooner's father?? LOL Is Stiller not the exact same character in each show?
Arthur Spooner is one of the greatest sitcom characters of all time. Period. End of discussion!!!!!! (scream it like Arthur)
By the way Jerry Stiller is a national treasure. There are not too many actors who stole scenes on two different television series.
If James Lipton had any chutzpah, he would devote an entite episode of his little show to this man. Serenity now!!!!!!!
Jerry Stiller was the only actor who was worth watching on this show! What amazes me is how there was this one brilliant comedic genius stuck in amongst all of the mediocre non-talent on KoQ. I'm not sure why Stiller agreed to appear on the show, but even the lousy writing couldn't keep him from being funny!
Arthur. Jerry Stiller's schtick got old and his storylines were really stupid. Jerry Stiller was great on Seinfeld but was annoying as hell in King of Queens. Less is Arthur is great!
Tony asked "What happened to their dog?"

Umm, that dog was named Carrie. She was on pretty much every week.
doug and carrie doug and carrie doug and carrie doug and carrie!
What happened to their dog? And Carrie's sister? And Carrie's hotness? No, I don't mean her weight gain from the pregnancy -- she started to look like she was aging three years for every year of the show. Maybe it's the stress from her Scientologist overlords.

Don't watch much TV do you, huh? How does this show possibly rank among even the top 50 comedies of all time? It's an average sitcom with actors that are, at best, only so-so. Jerry Stiller is pretty much the one highlight of the show. Otherwise, it's pedestrian at best.

Thanks for making me laugh, Ocey..."best flipping comedy" -- yeah, right.
I liked the show. The problems that I did have were:

Carrie was very cruel to doug. Rarely[eh, sometimes] theyd have a la la la nice moment.

Deacon/Kelly-Doug/Carrie didnt seem like real friends. They were always battling at something. It got annoying and hard to watch.

Arthur. Oh my god arthur pissed me off so much like 98% of the times.

The people that i did like on the show were ones like Holly, Spence/Danny. I loved the Spence/Danny faux-homosexual couple thing. It was cute. Spence was so funny oh man. Holly seem way nicer than carrie. I wouldve liked to see holly/doug marry instead of carrie. But oh well. The show is funny anyway, so yeah. And plus its in ny. (Shouldve been in brooklyn, but... :D )
