I loved this show. Can it be purchased any where on DVD or VHS. I wonder if it will ever run again on TV??
this show was a terrific fantasy escpe even though the lead character moved to cabo san lucas b/c his wife was killed, he had a dream job in a dream locale with good friends around him and never a dull moment . i believe he time slot that it was on, espeially in my area, doomed this show, it could have easily lasted a solid 4-5 years...
Maybe this show died because it seems to have skewed to an older audience. I liked it from the get go (even as a youngster) because I liked the fantasy of early retirement and moving to a tropical paradise and solving mysteries like the leads did.
I agree with the previous voter that this show never really jumped the shark. I don't know what the producer's vision (or director's for that matter) of the show was, but there was a certain niche to the show. Like all shows it just goes to show you that there is a show out there for everybody. The reasons why I liked the show was that the story lines were good, the execution of the acting (good actors) as well as the relationship of the characters to each other in the show, and lastly the location (Cabo San Lucas). Plus if you ever have a chance to see the show, the scenery helped with the story. In my opinion it was a show for older audiences who appreciate a good story line with minimal flair.
This show never jumped the shark. Like so many others, it was gone before it was given the chance to jump.
